2009 9-3 86000 auto. Purchased a new shell just recently and changed the parts over without incident , it worked first time. I changed over keys today only to find that the replacement activates on all 4 buttons. However, once introduced to the starter point does nothing whatsoever. I have...

Sometimes the boot will not open using the handle but will open with the fob. Other times it's fine. Any ideas? When I took it in for a service it, typically, worked fine. Model is 2008 ttid aero saloon
  4. Help, Advice, Saabs and Motoring
Every now and again I'll come back to my car only to find the boot is open, I can only presume that I've managed to press the boot release on the key fob whilst it's been in my pocket. Any suggestions as to how I can prevent this happening?
  5. New Saab 9-5 (2010 - on)
I can only access the trunk of my 2011 Saab 9-5 by using the key remote. Though the trunk release button on the trunk worked well before it stopped working about 5 months ago. Is there a way that I can reinstate the on-trunk release button?

Hello everyone, Got myself a 07 9-3 areo estate. On the key fob, there is a button for the boot lid, when press, all i got if flashing indicator, same as with the button with the white line. Is the boot meant to open, or doesn't it need to be activated via dealer ? Thanks

Hi. This may sound odd, but as i pulled the release handle to open the roof, it fell to the floor! I pushed it back in, but stupidly i pushed it in the wrong way round. Now it won't come out, which is great, but i need to turn it round. how do i release the handle? Anyone please.

I have a 2004 9-3 Vector Sport Auto Saloon. In the owner`s handbook it says that the boot lid can be opened by pressing the release on the lid when the car has been unlocked using the remote control, but the only way I can open the boot is by using the boot lid remote control button. As soon as...

Hey everyone, today my hood release cable snapped (rusted line) when I was trying to add some engine oil to my car. I removed the grill to try to manually open the hood but I'm not sure where I should be looking to trigger the primary latch. Any suggestions?

I have a 99 Saab 9-3 SE with a broken hood release cable. I want to get another from the salvage yard but don't know how to remove the hood release lever inside the car? can anyone tell me how to do this without breaking it? (the white plastic piece holding the lever in place). I guess I don't...

My seat back warmer shorted out and started a fire in the seat back. The cables which release the seat back to tilt forward had their cable tubes melt. I ordered new ones but how do I install them? I have the seats out. How can I replace these cables? There are two. What do I have to remove?

Hi all, as a long time lurker I'd first off like to say thanks to everyone for all the invaluable info. I can usually find what I am after with a search but this time I drew a blank. I am replacing the slave cylinder on my LHD '94 9000CSE LPT, the second one in 2 months (first failed with...

2011 model year. So, I finally got time to look at the problem with the release cable that wasn't working. I was going to use the 'brute force' principle of getting mole grips on the cable by the lever, but you can't get access to it, even with the lever in your hand. I then removed all three...

...release the bonnet! MY 2011 Where does the cable run? My dork of a neighbour reversed into my front bumper (drivers side) last weekend. Luckily only scratched the paint, but wondering whether the cable runs through there and has been squashed in the sheath - seems a coincidence! Had a quick...

:unsure:First post alert ... be gentle! This is a really wet question - I want to be able to open my fuel filler door when the central locking is out of action (1998 9000 saloon). I found advice on here about the location of the manual release (in the boot, next to the fuel filler, behind a...
