  1. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
Hi I am considering and assemble into Powerflex bushings, in the chassis. I wondered, if anyone has experience with how the car is and run with. Gets it the go-cart-like. More or less, to stiff to drive with. And will I get some more noise, when driving. And besides other things that occur, to...

Brand new, never used (PFF80-1203-25) These came with the car in the boot when I bought it as the previous owner was planning getting them fitted. I was going to install them couple of days ago until I realised that my 55 plate sw has the older type antiroll bar bushes as these are the later...

Has anyone done the Powerflex bushing upgrade in a garage or DIY? I'm not sure if I should call it an 'upgrade', just thinking about replace the aging and wearing rubber bushings of a 9-5 estate. Not driving fast but often carrying a lot of weight. Cheers.
  8. Saab 9000 (1984 - 1998)
In case someone else hasn't posted this before, there is a low/no cost alternative to replacing the original soft bushes at the upper torque arm on a 9000. I did it over the weekend on my front (engine end) bush temporarily. The bushes need to be in good condition in the first place - so this...

I'm about to fit a Powerflex gearbox bush. I think it has a lip on one side? - does anyone know which side the lip faces?
  10. Saab 9000 (1984 - 1998)
Yesterday I took the car for the yearly inspection and I was told that my rear ARB busings were getting old (though this did not mean the car fails the inspection) I am considering getting powerflex bushings after the good reviews I read here. The fronts look fine. I wonder if changing only the...

I now have a new 19mm rear bar for my CDEand wish to fit Powerflex bushes. The first bushes from my supplier were in the wrong box and had 18 stamped in the poly.I did loosely mount them on the new bar and there was quite a gap.I then took them off, closed up the bush by hand and measured the...
  12. Saab 9000 (1984 - 1998)
After installing the Abbott rear ARB bolt-on upgrade a few months ago I was extremely pleased to see a flatter and more controlled ride. It was more a case of point and shoot into corners and roundabouts. Overall the handling felt much more positive with no negative effect on comfort or...

Got a bit of rubbing going on on full lock My only guess is that the abbott wishbone bushes front/rear are worn out after 120k (disgracefull I know ) the question is which make to replace ? superflex or powerflex the split ones look easy to fit but that is not my main consideration it is...

Hi I'm considering upgrading the bushes on my 9-3 and was wondering what people's experiences were and which of the bushes were the best to change. I don't want a particularly harsh ride. In particular I'm considering changing the bushes on the front anti roll bar. My 9-3 is 2001 LPT so not...
  15. Saab 9000 (1984 - 1998)
Hi, i have just purchased one of the above yellow one piece gearbox mounts for my 96 manual Aero. With regards to fitting i seem to recall reading that it is best to leave the metal sleeve from the old rubber mounting in situ and simply cut out the rubber insert.Something to do with the new...

I've just acquired a pair of Powerflex poly top engine mount bushes - somebody must have fitted these? I wasn't convinced at first they were the right ones. I've got 2 yellow bushes of the split variety - 2 shapes of moulding, 2 of each. I take it you pair the identical pairs together to...

Hi all I have just received my front wishbone rear bush set from powerflex. I was surprised to see they are in two halves as I was expecting to have to press them into the old housings...oh well, not going to complain about one job getting easier. One thing that does concern me though is that...

Hi again all I have jsut received my repalcement torque arm bushes to replace the knackered ones on my aero. I went for the powerflex ones in the end as, being split, they appear to be the easiest to fit. The kit consists of two stainless steel tubes and four halved bushes. These halves are...
