    Hi guys, I've done the head gasket last week end and I thought I had filled the Oil accordingly but when I checked today, it seemed to be about an inch past the "max fill line". what could this result in? is it bad to just leave that way?

    Changed the oil and filter, added 4L and the dipstick shows the oil is about 1L higher than the Max mark on the dipstick. Even after sitting overnight, it's still reading 1L high. I read the oil level after screwing the oil cap closed, so I'm sure I'm inserting it all the way down. Any ideas...
