Anybody got an Autel MS300 and will/won't recommend? On the 'bay now for under £30 posted. Suspect it won't work for mine though, being an '03 diesel, in which case - any suggestions at similar price?

Hey there Saab fanatics, I am a 4th year university student and I am working for a project where I am thinking up a brand renewal for Saab. Now, I have chosen Saab because I think it is a brand that has a bit of an identity crisis. When surveying people about the brand Saab a lot of people...

So the Saab 9-1 - IF it is made, and we certainly hope it is, is likely to be made on a small car platform such as the Gamma architecture currently used on the Opel Corsa. This is a pretty big paradigm shift. One that alters whatever considerations I had about my own potential for owning a...

I’d like to thank Rob S for sending this article through to me today. I actually got this one as a headline in my RSS reader, but figured I had the announcement of the next generation Saab 9-3 being made in Trollhattan pretty well covered already. I was wrong. This story is from an...

My local tyre (independent, not a chain) has suggested Vredensteins for my 9-5 Aero (225/45/17, 94W). Probably 'cos he's got them in, although he did say he used them on his own 300bhp BMW. I was just wondering, what's the collective opinion of Vredensteins?

I've lost all patience with Saab and want some views on whether I'm being reasonable or not please: I apologise for the length of this tome! I have a 1998 95 2.3t I bought it in 2002 as an 'approved used Saab' with a 'full Saab service history' and with 80k on the clock. Naively, I didn't...
  8. Classic Saab 9-3/GM900 (1994 - 2002)/Conv ( -2003)
Handbook (rather vaguely) says... ..."most body panels, such as the bonnet, doors and floor pan, are galvanised"... does anyone have a definitive list or better idea as to which bits are and aren't galvanised on a 9-3?... The battery bracket jobbie in my engine compartment is rusting merrily...

looking at a 77,000 miler to buy are these OK for high mileage got GM900 2.0t SE with 138,000 miles now, so not adverse to large milers are these 230bhp or 220 and are they a much better drive over 900 turbo ? any views / opinions appreciated as i've never spent this much on a private car.
  11. Saab 9000 (1984 - 1998)
Would welcome members opinion of the 9000 CS model as I have the chance to purchase a low milage 'local' car.

This topic was started on 3rdgen.org. I own a saab 9000 and an 87' Monte Carlo. This is a quote from someone who claimed "they worked with saabs" and their turbos are out of date. "You are correct in that Saabs use turbos on most everything they sell. However, for this very reason, Saabs do...
