Has anyone had experience over an extended period (say, 2-3 years) of using alloy wheels with a different offset specification mounted onto a 9-5? For example, using a set with an offset of 41mm (ET41) instead of the stock 49mm and have they noticed any long term adverse effects? In the short...

Hey Guys, I ordered and installed a universal stripe kit off ebay. I decided to go with a silver stripe on my white car. I considered black, but wanted to do something a little different. Install took a couple hours, I'd never laid a vinyl stripe down on a car before. It took a spray bottle of...

I've been looking at getting new rims on my car soon and I have found a set I like Wheel Max.com and from the one website I've found on here it says the offset of a 1997 9000 is from 35 to 42 with a bore of 65.1 and the 108mm bolt pattern. The rims I like have a 108mm pattern, a bigger bore of...

Hi All, The steering wheel on my car has been slightly offset since it was tracked a while ago. I can't easily take it back to the place that did the tracking as it's not nearby. It doesn't pull to one side at all, and I've no reason to suspect the toe, camber or castor is incorrect. Am I...

Can anybody tell me the correct wheel offset for my '01 9-5 Aero saloon. I'm tempted into buying a new set of alloys for summer use, and planning to refurbish my standard 3 Spoke Sport 17 x 7" (ALU 28). Any feedback as to maximum/ minimum offset and problems encountered would be great.

My wife has a 9-3SS with the original 2002 launch spec 17 inch alloys which came with the standard 215/50 17 tyres - I think, ALU45 . When I needed to change them I fitted 225/45 17 tyres as they were a lot cheaper. However they rub on the inner liner on full lock which she uses several times...

Hi all, Quick question for those who have larger wheels i.e 17" ones. when you go from std 6.5 to 7" wheels do you keep the offset at 30? or do you need to adjust it +-? From what I can work out if the std offset is kept it will move the wheel outer edge by 7mm which I don't think is a problem...

It's been implied that different wheel rim widths need different offsets. How/why does the offset change with rim width? I thought the centreline of the rim should remain constant (side-to-side) i.e. with respect to the rest of the suspension geometry, so the scrub radius doesn't change (etc)...

I'm having a bit of a time getting a straight answer... I'm looking to purchase a set of factory 16x6.5" 3-spoke Saab rims, but I need to know what the offset is on them. There is another problem, being that there are two differing types of 3 spoke wheels, one is flatter then the other, can...
