Hi all, This is my first Saab, a 9-3 Vector Sportwagon 1.9TiD on an 06 plate. Been into niche motoring since my Capri days (Capri 2.0, Pug 405 4x4, Probe 2.5, Lexus is200, Rover 75 to name a few) but this is my first foray into Scandinavian motoring. I've already had to replace the single CD...
The AERO bug has got me. 2 years after selling my last Aero convertible, I have missed it so much i just had to get another.
I now have a 2005 9-3 AERO 2.8 V6 Turbo Convertible.
Love the way it feels, looks and drives.
I have been checking the online MOT history of a few Saab 9-5's im interested in. On a couple of them it mentions Change of details ---- Saab 9-5 recorded at time of test.
Is this just an admin thing - i.e the garage added the details after the event? Or would it be something to be wary of...

If the moderators will forgive a non-Saab photo - this is what happens when you hit a deer (not an elk) at 60 mph and just manage to swerve enough to...

They seem to like Saabs in the Independent - article about the Sonett here.
Interesting explanation of how the car got its name and the last paragraph just about sums up Saab and GM - looks like my mid-life crisis will be with some other sports car
Subaru Tribeca review in the Independent motoring section.
Well, sort of Saab related, the 9-6x gets mentioned in passing (although the article suggests that the Saab badged machine won't make it over to Europe). Quite what the exit of GM from Subaru means for the whole line is anyones guess...

Tonight I found out that the DVLA are planning to charge £4.50 to register a car. That's every time. It will include all cars.
If you pay your Road Fund/Vehicle Excise Duty every 6 months, it may cost you £9/year.
It will also be charged to register SORN cars. Anyone got a collection? A...

Anyone got any contacts in the motor trade in West Essex area
He's a 16yr old school leaver by the way
Last year there were 2 cars in particulat that I remember - a lovely Ruby (wheels had been relacquered a darker grey, had a long chat with the owner), and a black 900 Carlsson.
I'll be there in the morning, would be interested to chat to some like-minded souls!
(For anybody who...
A colleague of mine told me that it is legal to straddle or cross the double white lines (no overtaking lines) in the centre of the road for six specific circumstances.
Can anyone tell me what they are. No cheating, no referring to Highway Code or any books!
