I'm in the process of re-working my project car's vacuum lines. I've made other posts, but it appears that all I need is a single check valve, and I'm in business. But, for a few $$ more, I'm considering replacing these lines with some flexible silicone lines. In looking at the existing...

Ok, couldn't find this subject covered before on Saabscene, even by searching the threads, so just wanted a few opinions or to see if anyone has actually bothered to 'upgrade' to stainless steel brake lines. So, on a standard road car, are they worth it? Do they really add any extra 'firmness'...

Just drained my oil cooler for a complete oil change today. Upon re-fitting the oil lines to the cooler, are the o-rings supposed to be on the lines, or inside the entrance for the hoses to the cooler? With the o-rings inside the cooler, I can only get one of the lines to seat and the other...

Finally selling my turbo. This is a TD04-18T (6) completely rebuilt about 18months ago when the conversion was done from 15T to 18T compressor. Turbine has a 7 degree clip on the blades to aid top end flow without affecting spool up too much. It's done appoximately 12k miles most of which is...

Took the old girl for a 200 mile drive last night, cruised happily at 70ish all the way without fuss or incident. Noticed this morning she had liberally marked her territory on my friend's driveway. Usually there is a drip or two from the gearbox/bellhousing area, but now I notice the front...
