  1. Saab 9000 (1984 - 1998)
So I recently had my mechanic put in a new clutch for me, a spec stg. 1 , also put in new slave and master cylinders. And had fly wheel resurfaced. Every thing seems fine except two nagging problems that have not gone away after 1k miles. The car stutters pretty badly when trying to do a slow...

Driver's electric seat functions, but steps & stops? Passenger side fine, so swapped green relays but same result... Anyone any ideas what might cause this?? Cheers
  3. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
This weeks 'problem'! when car changes down a gear at low speed (think its probably 2-1 or 3-2) it is occassionally really noticable and seems almost comparable to dropping the clutch on a manual (well, not as bad but not as smooth as you would imagine!) if this is 'normal' i can live with it as...

The driver power seat on MY96 Aero is not running smoothly, and has developed a very jerky movement. This goes for forward and backward motion, and seat back recline. Stop / start. The passenger seat is fine. Strangely, simply pulling the power seat fuse and putting it back seems to reset...

Hi all, I have a MY02 9-5. The thorttle pedal feels sticky. This is easy to notice when driving in traffic and trying to make small smooth movements. Has anyone esle seens this before? Any ideas on how to improve it? Thanks - its driving me nuts on the M1 each morning!!!

First post so please be gentle on my 99 V6 petrol auto. Recently had DI units replaced after failed on motorway. Since then have had intermitent problem with what feels like a misfire when lift off the accelerator. Was aware that failed DI's can cause Cat problems but car is fine under power and...

Hi All: I have just installed an Abbott Racing ECU, it seems jerky at random. At times it feels like it is gear hunting. Any body knows any thing like this? By the way it is 02'9-5, 2.0t Any advise would be much appreciated Thanks Ben

Okay, a lot has been said recently about signs a gearbox is going. It got me thinking...my gear level is jerky, but there is no thumping or other shifting problems. Could it be that my gearbox is fine, but engine mounts need replacing? It stays solidly in gear, never slipping out. There are no...

  10. Classic Saab 900 (1979 - 1993)
Well we've been out a few times in the "new" C900 turbo (MY 90) and discovered a couple of "features" that I'd appreciate folk's views on. Firstly, when travelling at low revs, noticably in 2nd or 3rd, it seems rather jerky, especially with a slightly trailing throttle. Next, the gear change...
  11. Saab 9000 (1984 - 1998)
I have just started to notice that the gear lever on my 9000 Aero has started to jerk backwards and forwards when decelerating and then picking up on the throttle, it is mostly noticable in third gear only and I fear that before long it will eventually start to jump out of gear altogether. This...
