Hello! I have a 99 9-3 SE. I've determined that there's an issue with the wiring to my 3rd Injector, similar to the issue described here (https://www.saabscene.com/forum/threads/130362-cylinder-injector-3-open-circuit-error). However, that thread is for a later model, as well as for TiD, which...

<p class="p1">A clean engine is a more efficient engine (and also a more powerful one), so a fuel injector cleaning is an important part of maintaining your car. While you can always visit a mechanic to get this service done, this is actually one of a few maintenance items that are pretty...

  5. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
Just bought my self another 9-5 2.2tid. Its a little bit tatty on the outside but hopefully will polish up ok. Was told it had an injector problem and it was no.2 allegedly by a saab garage. It smoked and ran rough and a little noisey. Anyway had a bit of a fiddle and swapped the EGR as this one...

Hi all, I've got the slight juddering/hesitation/pulsating in my 1.9TiD 150 '06 vector sport sportwagon. It only occurs between 1900-2100 rpm roughly, worse in higher gear as takes longer the get through that range. It feels as though the boost drops then picks up again several times. If I were...

Hi Guys, My car has recently started to miss and chug on Idle but is fine once I get to 1000+ revs, I've disconnected each injector one by one and the car sounds like a bag of c%@p even more so when 2 to 4 are disconneted but when one is discounted the engine there is no change. so I'm guessing...
  9. Classic Saab 9-3/GM900 (1994 - 2002)/Conv ( -2003)
Hi all My saab has a cold start problem - long cranking to start when the fuel tank is less than 3/4 full. After reading the forums, it sounds like this is a common problem with the injector seals leaking, allowing the fuel to drain back to the tank ? My question is this - if I fit a low...
  10. Classic Saab 9-3/GM900 (1994 - 2002)/Conv ( -2003)
Hi everybody I have a Saab 9-3, 2.2 TID 2002. It has the classic stating problem, reading the post's on the forums it sounds like the injector seals have gone and this is letting the fuel drain back to the tank. My question is this - if I fit a low pressure electric fuel pump in line, to prime...
  11. Saab 9-3 Sedan/Combi/TurboX/AWD(2003+)/Conv(2004+)
Hi all. I've just had my TTid remapped with DPF removed as well. Was running fine if a little smokey on initial push on the throttle with 56mpg on a run to Heathrow from Cambridge etc. However it dropped a cylinder on Sunday while driving slowly in town. The garage have told me there is very low...

Hi Everyone. Has anyone ever used an injector refurbishment company such as http://injectortune.co.uk and did you have any real noticeable improvement? Basically my 9-3 1.9tid 150 is a bit lumpy on idle (slight miss) i have put through a couple of injector cleaners and that hasn't really...

Does this like same setup as the TiD where there is a problem with the No3 connector? If so I'll remove and check / clean with switch cleaner but it looks a tricky job to remove with all the conduit encasing it.
  17. Saab 9-3 Sedan/Combi/TurboX/AWD(2003+)/Conv(2004+)
Seems that a bit of research tells me that if teh injectors are starting to ge the engine can sound very noisey ( mine does off and on ) and the sump can get contaminated with diesel ( mine has been but was it all to do with the old software?). They are 104k miles now, I'm averaging 43mpg...

Hi guys, Does anyone know a good source of the correct piping and t pieces? I'm going to change them as this would rule out leaky pipes as a cause of poor starting, cost should be minimal vis a vis the cost of a pressure test. Any ideas? I was just going some old piping from my brewing...
