Hi, The boot will lift if I pull it up but heavy and stiff, seem to be working against the hydraulics rather than with? Is this a common fault. Is there an easy fix I can do myself or am I going to need to buy new parts and use the garage mechanics. Any help be greatly appreciated?

I have noticed on b roads the steering tramlines and feels generally vague. On well surfaced a roads all seems fine and the car tracks straight & true.It also feels like it is nose heavy particularly noticed at speed. The Pirellis are nearing the wear blocks though.Could this be the problem ?

Unsure if this is due to the undulations on the **** roads where I live. But had to brake hard yesterday in the SAAB. The steering wheel jolted to the right hand side which was a tad disconcerning. Car has had new discs and pads all round. Could it be due to a bad caliper? need re-alignment?

Hey Guys, Recently I've noticed the steering on my car is rather heavy, certainly harder to turn then usual. I've checked the fluid levels and that's fine, has anybody had any issues with their steering before? I suspect it could be a failing pump maybe? I think it's worse when the car is cold.

If I'm sendin her on a bit, and brake there is really bad vibration through the steering. First thoughts were warped discs. Any ideas?

Just wondered if any of you guys had come across this. If ive hit a bump in the road or after some spirited driving, my steering sometimes would go heavy for a few secs. It could of course be my imagination but i think it does this. Maybe something to do with me having wide 19s on the car...

These are apparently reverse engineered to be better then the Saab manufactured stabilizer/Link rods which has a smaller ball joint and weaker plastic that supports the joint. ebay Item number is: 270946487052 if you want to check them out. According to Saab the sway link rods are a common fault...

Hi all, hoping someone can shed a bit of light, my power steering has ben whining/screeching for a few weeks now. However two days ago the steering became very heavy upon turning right, turning left is still nice and easy, turning right is almost like having no power steering at all. The noise...

HI, this is my first post so hopefull I have done it right...will soon find out! I have recently purchased a 2009 58 plate Vector sport. When I first purchased it the steering felt fine, smooth, light and recentered freely when I let go when manouvering at low speeds. After a few weeks it...

I took my 2008 9-3 2.0t wagon in for the "intermediate" service at about 21K miles this morning. As far as I can tell, a $300 oil change, but GM is paying. Pulling out, I'm laying down a smoke screen on acceleration, and again on deceleration. Yikes. Absolutely was not doing this before the...

Yesterday I had to drive a 6 year old Mazda 6 ( YUCH ! ) The first thing I must say I hate Jap cars with a vengeance, they are very well made and very reliable but they completely lack character. Any way the first time I put my foot on the brake pedal I nearly went through the windscreen...

Hi :) The clutch on my 1997 2.3 Aero is very heavy. so much so it burst the pipe to slave cylinder. Replaced that but I have been told it needs a new clutch, could there be any other reason for the heavy clutch? If not what is the clutch replacement like to do & has anyone got one for sale...

Hi all, New to SAAB ownership of a very tidy 1996 900S 63K, why is the clutch so heavy (I drive artics for a living & the clutch on them is as light as a feather), I have seen something about pedal or a pedal box & cable change from an astra, but what astra engine size & year. confused!! John

I would be really grateful for your knowledge on this problem please. Im sick and tired of giving money to the saab mechanics who dont seem to get to the bottom on the matter. My 2001 2.2 TID suffered lack of power with no EM light. It was 70% down on power and would barely get up hills. No...

Hello, I have an '89 9000 cdi, not had it very long and the last owner confessed to fitting a new clutch slave cylinder. It is very heavy in operation but works ok. Are there different slave cylinders, ie, different diameters of piston that may account for this problem? I have read that...
