Just that. Today I drove 30 miles home with the CEL. Tried checking for fault codes with the key but ....no flashes! Funny thing was that on the way to town there was no CEL but a wicked fuel shut-off problem (kicking in at about 3.5K rpm) While the CEL was lit the old girl was quite...

Had this problem for a few years now. Check engine light comes on with four flashes when starting, indicating coolant temp. sensor is acting up. Funny thing is it disappears when the weather becomes a bit warmer. Car has always run cool, takes ages for dial to get to normal temp. Could it be...

For the first time since owning the car i got the check engine 6 flashes yesterday. I diconnected the battery for half an hour and it didn't come back on. Whilst doing my 50 mile round trip the car started to kangaroo like crazy at low speeds. When pushed, it picked up okay but i could still...

I'm getting 6 flashes on my engine check light when I turn the ignition on, autodata lists this as "wiring, intake/fuel system leak, fuel pressure HO2S" - Am I correct in thinking the probable cause is a lambda sensor fault?

Long term shudder MY95 2.0 LPT. Most recent thing changed was Lambda for a 'just Lambda' own brand one. I think car was slightly worse after fitting this. Ran it anyway and today 7 flashes on CEL. Typically this is not a clear indicator of problem. Changed back to original Bosch probe but...

I'm trying to work this out - acn you hear my neurons screaming in agony! I see there are 2 types of ECU Trionic & the other one. 1st up can anyone tell me which one I have so I can work out whether I should be looking at the coolant sensor or the knock sensor. I recently had my head done...

Hi, I've been driveing the newly aquired 94 Cab. What a sweet car. It has that red flashing lamp on the left front speaker grill that flashes at different times. Seems to me that lamp can be used to check alarm system modes. Anyone remember how to operate the mode adjustments and what the...

Check Engine Light has come on in the aero. The car idles fine then the revs will go right down, nothing happens when you press the accelerator. The C.E.L flashes 5 times when you turn the ignition on. If I leave the car for about 5-10 mins it will then start up with no problems. Anyone know...

HI The GM900 CEL came on today. 6 flashes, which according to a post by Munki means the Oxygen sensor. Is this a repairable/cleanable item, and if not is it expensive? Car is under "warranty" but we all know what they can be like. Car runs fine, no signs of performance loss, all fluids etc...

'97 model year 9000 has 4 flashes on check engine light, which I think means coolant temperature sensor. Anyone any ideas whether its just a sensor fault or something more major? If it is just a sensor fault where is it and is it easy to fit oneself??!!
