  1. Saab 9000 (1984 - 1998)
When I try to lock my 1995 9000, with the remote or the key, central locking may or may not work - on all doors. The petrol cap lock works every time, the indicators flash, horn beeps, immobiliser immobiises. Just the locks don't move. They may grunt a bit. Next time they can snap shut or...
  2. Classic Saab 9-3/GM900 (1994 - 2002)/Conv ( -2003)
So this past week the rear right blinker on my 9-3 started randomly going out. The first time I noticed it I just figured the bulb was gone and I would have to replace it, but the next time I drove it worked perfectly. Since then it has given me the fast blink in the dash twice, but it works...
  3. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
Hi All - I'm stumped, and am looking for some friendly advice. I've got a 2001 9-5 SE (V6, unfortunately), and it's been a care-free ride since I bought it back in 2004. A week ago, in stop and go traffic, the car died (simply turned off) as it came to a stop. It the failed to turn-over, and...

Right, car failed this year. Gutted... 1) Coil spring incomplete (offside) what the hell does that mean?, its broken or something? Is this common on a 95/95? 2) Rubber Exhaust bracket (back of the silencer) back one is missing - Is this really a fail?? 3) Handbrake cable, rusted to hell and...

It’s the start of a new working week in the northern hemisphere, which means it’s non-stop bailout coverage once again. Well, I hope not, but that’s how things seem to have trended in recent weeks. It’s an absorbing story because it within the bigger story of GM’s survival is the story of...
  6. Saab 9-3 Sedan/Combi/TurboX/AWD(2003+)/Conv(2004+)
Last June the control unit in the drivers door for my 9-3 SS failed, resulting in the the door not opening from inside or out and all switches on the door being dead. The repair cost £700 due to the need to damage the door trim to replace the electronics. Now I have the same sympoms in the rear...

  8. Saab 9000 (1984 - 1998)
For info...: Following an earlier thread where someone reporting engine coolant temp needle running just above cold/blue bar (instead of level at the midpoint of gauge), I took the advice of one contributant and changed my thermostat with standard Saab 89C replacement (alternative 82C not...

  11. Saab 9000 (1984 - 1998)
I guess this may have been raised in the past (like many threads), but can anyone advise: My front passenger door has just ceased to lock/unlock using the remote (imobiliser/alarm) keyfob. Have to manually pull up (or down) the locking button on the door. I guess this is the door...

Needed to put down back seats on '95 900 Coupe to get large package. Now can't get the [email protected]##y things back up. The seatbelts are very tight and seem to be preventing the backrest from coming back up. Is there a knack to this? Do I need to do a two day intensive course on back seat do's and...
