Two snapshots from the page of instructions. I think the word "Page" in the column heading is a mistranslation and refers to which of the two headlamps (left or right) that you are adjusting.   In addition the instructions left hand traffic and right hand traffic refer to the original...

Folks, Hi! I'm driving to swizerland this week from Manchester way. I had it in my mind that an adjustment to headlights used to be required in the EU, but I can't find any mention on the RAC website. Is ths still a requirement? Thanks.

The Saab dealer search is a bit cumbersome. Fine on-line, but useless if you are stranded in Europe without access to a computer. You can print a list of the Saab dealers that can do Hirsch, so possibly better equipped(?), from the Hirsch site. Search by country and print the page...

It seems the Dutch links to Turbo X road tests that I posted yesterday were just for openers. A multitude of other funny-speaking sites have now published their reviews as well. I’ll add the links in here so you Euro types can go and check them out. ctm’s also been kind enough to summarise...

Whilst I store, and source, most of the video from this site from either YouTube or Google Video, did you know that you can watch or download a whole range of Saab videos from GM Europe Web TV? GMEWTV (how’s that for an acromyn?) is available to all-comers and carries a range of modern Saab...

I am trying to import a Saab 9-3 Convertible from the US. Can someone tell me what the difference between the European and the US versions is? Can someone tell me what has to be changed at the car to get it with the European rules? Thanx HJ

A couple of recent bit of news from Europe that I thought I’d share here. Firstly, some of you European types might be wondering about the eventual availability of XWD in combination with the TTiD engine. I had a question about this come into my inbox last week, and as I was on the phone to...

Cadillac is growing in Europe! Despite all my jibes about them selling just seven units in a month in Sweden, the fact is that Cadillac has sold over 3,000 vehicles in Europe this year, which is up 30% on the SFA it sold in the prior year (can you tell I’m grumpy this morning?). Most of the...

  15. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
Using our 2.2 tid 9-5 for its first long European journey threw up some interesting problems, the first quite elementary but unsolvable. On our earlier 9-5 (98) it was possible via an illustration in the handbook to stick pieces of tape to the headlights to achieve a right hand dip position, our...

Having been put off by the high price of package skiing holidays in europe i was wondering if it is feasable to 'take the car' to one of the resort areas, rent your own accomodation & sort out ski passes etc & hopefully do it a bit cheaper. Is this financially viable & if so, would the saab 95...
