I have been renewing the metal coolant rail pipe at front of engine, the one that corrodes. Things were going well until I dropped a 13 mm bolt down into the radiator bottom hose!! I have been unable to get it out. I have completed the job topped up the coolant and all seems fine. What are...

Ok the car is a 2.3 Aero Auto with 176K on the clock....got the car about 18 months ago with a blown turbo......replaced the breather system for the updated one.I had the turbo rebuilt and dropped the sump.....the car has been fine since then up till a few weeks back when the oil light came on...

9-5 Estate 2005, but I guess they are all the same. The heat shield that sits above the middle silencer has become detatched, apart from one corner. It sits on the silencer and rattles, and may come off altogether at speed. There are 3 or 4 fixing 'studs' down each side, but the heat shield...

Right ignor previous posts by myself about the turbo ect ive decided to sort this problem myself (fed up waiting on mates to do it for me). So starting from the begining..... Brought a 9-5 with seized turbo. I checked oil levels soon after getting it and had to put about a litre and a half in...

Hi, Having just aquired a 9-5 3.0 V6 diesel 2003 model, I am slowing realising I have bought a dud. Expansion tank pressurises instantly, will maintain pressure overnight and engine is loosing coolant. Having read (too late it seems) similar postings I am assuming I have dropped liners, or at...

Car is a 120 Diesel Linear. Decided to strip down the EGR today. Bad idea starting at 5pm. However, stripped down and in the process of refitting I have dropped/misplaced the small clamp that goes around the bottom pipe. I cannot find it anywhere. Is there anything else I can use as a temporary...

Well a super cold Sunday to be working under a bloody car! Mind you, did have access to a four poster so it could have been worse  PCV kit went on quite easy, did most of it from above the car, old hoses were well knackered!! Dropping the sump was a right PITA, getting all bolts out etc...

Well, All went to plan, just about! Took the car to my Mate Andy's Garage (VW Audi Specialist - I'm a dubber at heart...) to utilise his lifts and tools for a few hours. Used Wynns engine flush in the old oil before dropping it out. Something that I was very wary of doing after read horror...
  10. Classic Saab 9-3/GM900 (1994 - 2002)/Conv ( -2003)
Finally got around to dropping my sump and thought i'd post some pics of my findings. No real sludge but there are some worryingly small fragments of metal - any ideas what these could be from? They seem to have blocked the strainer pretty nicely too.
