Hi All, Well as per my other thread, it's not good news. The banjo end on the bottom coolant pipe for the turbo on my 2.8 V6 Aero had actually come apart at the join to the pipe. Having tried everything including getting some sort of pipe made up to join it, I want to do the job properly. I...

2004 9-3 ss 1.9tid Hi, when picking the car up from a long stay carpark after holiday we found the front passenger footwell soaked. I'd previously sealed the cabin filter housing and cleared the drain etc, but rechecked it again anyway- all good. I got out the hosepipe and discovered that the...

Hi I'm just carrying out a sump drop on my hot aero. After removing the sump I have noticed that there is a metal pipe (breather)? crossing the crankcase. It's quite loose and can be pulled out quite easily is this normal or are new seals required I'd hate it to rattle loose. any info would be great

Hi We have just uncovered something of a disaster with our 1995 Aero. Looking for the source of a leak that was making the front carpets wet, we have found that the steel is completely corroded away along the entire length of the bottom of the windscreen - it's one long hole about half an inch...

Hi The driver's seat bottom in my 9000 (LHD) is starting to show its age and the seat heat has recently stopped working. I got this idea that I can find a seat bottom here in this forum or ebay.co.uk from a RHD car (where the left front seat will be the passenger side) and switch seat bottoms...

Hi, I have just the brake warning light come on and now my 1998 9-5 2.0t (145k) is leaking fluid from the gearbox area all over the drive. I suspect the fluid to be hydraulic fluid from the brake system leaking from the slave cylinder in the clutch. Does anyone have any knowledge which may...

Question/suggestion: I've read that the oil strainer is very, very close to the base of the sump - a matter of three millimetres. Surely this encourages the blocking. Would it be a good idea to raise it using washers or whatever? Why does it have to be this close? With such a tiny...

Hello, I have a knackered bottom end [leaking/cracked cylinder block] and wondered if it is possible to fit the Trionic 5 [red direct ignition found on the 9000, GM 900 etc] to the top of my T7? Would save me a ruddy fortune if so. I have found a thread on the net but would prefer some more...

Preparing to follow BillJ's intercooler retrofit guide and found the bottom cooler panel bolted onto and below the radiator has half of its concertina aluminium foil blown out from between the horizontal feed bars. Am I looking at the supplemental 'towing' cooler, or the main cooling device...

Hello. My D reg 900 has a slow drip from the bottom of the engine. There are no other symptoms, nothing looks wet from the top, it seems to be coming from near to one of the belts (that I replaced recently) is it the water pump? Any ideas on how I can determine where the fault is? Any advice...
