Were there any non-Annie -or Aero - high-power 9Ks in 1998? I ask because I just saw an R-plate manual, badged '2.3Turbo' (as opposed to '2.3turbo' with a small 't'), which I suspect indicates the 225 bhp B234R engine, in the local Homebase car park. It was in a rather nice claret metallic, but...

Just bought a 97 Anniversary 2.3 with only 54k on it so the other reluctantly has to go. 136k, B234R 225bhp, cruise control, sunroof, 16" Super Aero alloys, MOT till Nov 08, Full recent service history. £2250 ono. Pictures in Auto Trader here...

Just like to thank everyone for the advise so far. The story up til now. Changed the plugs (BCPR7ES-11) and DI. Did compression test. All within the range of 155-166psi. ie 6% Checked for air leaks. Can't find any obvious ones. No fault codes coming up. What to do next?

Hi, Hope someone will be able to help me, If I buy a B234R engine from a 95 can I fit it into a 9000 Aero? Also are the exhaust manifolds the same on an Aero as other 9000 turbo models? many thanks in advance Pete
