Does anybody know the number for these parts or has a photo from the rrear axle showing where the rubber insert is located?

I have an 03 9-3 SE and I have some pretty extreme negative camber on the rear wheels more so on the passenger side. I did some reading and found that on the 9-5s, and 900's had this issue and it can be corrected by replacing the rear axle bushings. Is the also true for the 9-3? I know the...

I'm about to purchase a new CV axle assembly for my 98 Saab 9000 CSE manual transmission. I have one issue though. I don't know if all CV axles I'm finding online fit both automatic and manual transmissions. My 9k is a manual transmission. All the axle assemblies I find on sites like eeuroparts...

hi could someone please tell me the difference in front axle weight between the petrol and the diesel car , as have been told there is only 20kg difference by a company who just sold me front springs , not going to name company yet as they say you can fit the petrol springs to the front . must...

So from my understanding the rear suspension isnt independent its just not a solid rear axle. Am i right or wrong?
  9. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
Am preparing to drop the sump and clean it out this Easter holidays. Superswede's done a really helpful guide to doing it. The only thing I was wondering is - how hard is it gonna be to do it with the car on axle stands? How heavy is the sump and can it be manoevred fairly easily once 'off'...
  10. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
On a recent check over and service I noticed that the rear tyres are wearing more on the inside, indicating too much negative camber. The rear axle camber is of course adjustable with shims, but I can`t find any information either in the handbook or in WIS what the correct settings should be...
  11. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
Hi all, Got a quick question about my 2004MY 9-5 Aero estate. It's recently started to not drive straight, ie I have to steer a little to the left to go in a straight line. Tyres are brand new and I recently had the tracking and alignment done, but off I went again to get it sorted. Place I...

Hello all! I have just dropped in on another thread in need of assistance, I hope no one minds me creating a new topic! I am a vectra C owner and I can already see from your own fine forum that the epsilon platform the newer saab 9-3 shares with the vectra c throws up the same suspension...
  13. Saab 9000 (1984 - 1998)
I've had some really helpful advice in the past from this forum and hope someone can help me again. My son recently hit a kerb (somewhat sideways I suspect) with the left rear wheel of my 1987 9000 turbo. The resultant damage includes a bent cross brace, entire axle assembly moved 50mm to the...
  14. Saab 9000 (1984 - 1998)
I've received great advice here before - I hope someone else can help me out here. A rear slide hammered the left rear wheel into a kerb on my 87 9000 Turbo. The wheel appears to have a negative camber now, although the stub axle looks OK. The cross brace which supports the tower carrying the...
  15. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
I have a logical problem. If I jack the 9-5 up by the wheel change jacking point, there is nowhere to put the axle stand to keep that part of the car safely off the ground. If I jack it up by the centre front or centre rear, I can't get it up high enough to get an axle stand under the wheel...
  16. Classic Saab 9-3/GM900 (1994 - 2002)/Conv ( -2003)
Had my tracking checked on the local 4-wheel laser jobbie today, just to double check after it was set with the new springs yesterday. I figured it might have had a bit of movement after fitting as it all settled down and might move a bit from the initial setting . Glad I did, as it was toeing...
  17. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
I am about to put my 95 into storage for a few months and want to put the car up on axle stands. Could someone please give me some advice on the best position for these to be placed?
  18. Saab 99, 90 (1969 - 1984)
I'm very new to owning a 99 and this is probably a very obvious question, but where should i put axle stands when using them on a 2 door to lift up the front of the car? Also where can i get hold of a 1984 saab 99 radiator? thanks for your help

Hi all, I'm going to get myself a hydraulic jack and a pair of axle stands, and wonder if any of you guys out there have either good or bad recommendations? cheers, Ben.
  20. Saab 9000 (1984 - 1998)
Hello, my engine fell on my axles when both motor mounts failed. We are trying to remove axle from transmission to see if it is broke so a new can be put in if it needs it. Is there a pin or something up near the tranny that would keep axle shaft? For a 1990 SAAB Turbo 9000 5 speed.
