  1. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
How do I know if there's one fitted? Followed handbook instructions for after heater which says "key in off position, press auto (on ACC) for more than 1 second". No joy, blank screen and no heater:( If it's fitted, where is it? Thanks
  2. Classic Saab 9-3/GM900 (1994 - 2002)/Conv ( -2003)
Hi, I've just brought a 900, N reg auto with the 2.3 non turbo engine. The aux belt whines a bit. The guy said he fitted a new one. He was a bit vague about how he did it, but he did say he 'levered something back in order to fit it'. Now, I'm aware the adjuster is automatic. Would I be right...
  3. Classic Saab 9-3/GM900 (1994 - 2002)/Conv ( -2003)
Fitted to a 2.2Tid 02plate without the water pump accessory. Car has been on a tech 2 which showed it as disabled, SID reprogrammed and now holding down the two buttons on the SID gives a 'HEATER' indication but no obvious signs of heating. So question is what to check apart from the fuse, I...
  4. Classic Saab 9-3/GM900 (1994 - 2002)/Conv ( -2003)
Other than crawling under the car and seeing what comes out of its exhaust pipe, is there another way to confirm that the heater is actually working? Can't hear or feel it when the engine's running. I'm talking about the coffee-jar sized one mounted on the bulkhead. Cheers - Musang. No "t".
  5. Classic Saab 900 (1979 - 1993)
Acting on impulse I bid for and won a set of aux driving lights - original Hella, with covers, switch and relay. I did this believing they'd be an easy fit to my C900 T16S convertible MY '90. however once I had a good look it seems that the Aero bodykit that "Woody" has doesn't accept these...

Does anyone know if the belt and idler pulley etc are off the shelf parts (i.e. the saab dealer will have them in stock)? The reason I ask is mine went AWOL on the way home this evening.... Steve

  8. Classic Saab 900 (1979 - 1993)
While in Denmark at the Saab International I picked up a set of aux instrument dials for the 900, and now I'm trying to get my hands on the senders. I saw an old post from Adrian mentioning that VW senders would fit and are cheaper than Saab, assuming Saab are still available. Can anyone clarify...
  9. Classic Saab 900 (1979 - 1993)
As seen here. Senders can still be obtained from Saab. Is there still demand for them? What is the going rate for a set of Saab Auxilliary Gauges these days?
  10. Classic Saab 900 (1979 - 1993)
Thanks to Julian Lawless for the part numbers - today I received the senders and adaptor for the oil temp and pressure gauges. I got two sets of senders. I should have checked to see if they also fit the 99T aswell as the 900. Does anyone know if they are the same. If not, I have a spare...
