  1. Saab 9-3 Sedan/Combi/TurboX/AWD(2003+)/Conv(2004+)
Hi Playmates. Firstly - Happy Crimble all! :D Now, I'm determined to strip out the CD and replace with an aftermarket head unit from this century...... I can link the optical cable so that I don't disturb the rest of the car's systems, but the aerial connector is totally new to me. Never seen...
  2. Saab Parts / Accessories, FOR SALE and WANTED
Hi, Guessing these are going to be as rare as any of the common sayings about rare items however it is worth a go. Looking for the genuine Saab or Elk parts equivalent if anyone has one radio fascia adaptor. The kit that took the standard weird not quite double DIN size radio slot down to a...
  3. Saab 9-3 & GM900 (1994 - 2002)/Conv ( -2003)
Hi all, I have been doing lots of reading around and see that no one makes a DIN/fascia adapter for the 9-3 2002 model due to the unusual size of the "hole" the radio fits in. I have also seen people custom modifying the dash above in between radio & SID to make space, does anyone know if the...

  5. Tyres, Wheels, and Brakes
Hi All - new to saabscene and Saab's. Had my 9-3 about 9 months now (2nd hand) and noticed that i need a new set of front tyres. I've gone searching for the security wheel nut adapter and can't find it !!!! I've got a 57 Reg 9-3 Airflow. Is it possible to get a replacement adapter, or what...
  6. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
I've got an adapter kit for an AS1 with all except an aerial adapter. Does one exist that is flexible (in other words a short bit of cable with the ISO and DIN connectors at either (at least I think it's ISO and DIN). I'm sure many people have replaced their AS1 with an aftermarket. What do I...
  7. Saab Parts / Accessories, FOR SALE and WANTED
Having just sold my 2000 9-5 Aero I have the Audio Troll AT-1 that I removed from it for sale. This provides you with an aux-in so that you can connect an iPod (or any other MP3 player etc...) It connects to the rear of the stereo and you use the CD Multichanger function (I assume that if you...
  8. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
My 9-5 came with an aerial-line adapter for MP3/iPod, but it is evidently powered from a source which only comes on with the ignition switch all the way on, rather than in the Accessory position, which powers-up the stereo. With no volts to the adapter, there is damn-all signal to the radio so...
  9. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
Got a slow pouncture on my tyre and wanted to get it sorted before my 800mile round trip at easter. the problem is my adapter for the locking wheel nuts has snapped and I can't get the wheel off. I've heard that Saab may have a master adapter but don't know if that's true. Anyone any advice...
  10. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
I've been looking to see if there is a decent ipod link for the 9-5. I currently use the i-trip but I would prefer to use a more permanent fix if there is one so that there is no clutter with wires. I have the phone kit, plus an inforad radar detector so there is enough going on in the dash as...

Is there such a thing for the cigar lighter? I've never seen one. For example, if I wanted to run a Tom Tom Sat Nav at the same time as a Road Angel from the cigar lighter in my Saab - ie without hard wiring either - is it possible? (Of course on our MPV we have three power outlets ).
  12. Saab 9000 (1984 - 1998)
My T25 has a flange on the intake allowing the hose to be fitted using a hose clip, does anyone know of an adapter that can be fitted onto a turbo without a flange? the hose would then be secured in place using 2 screws or similar. Steve

Hi again, the peice that joins the oil filter to the bottom of the engine on my car is leaking some oil. Not badly enough to make a puddle but I'd like to take care of it. Someone told me it's called an oil filter adapter. I've never seen any gaskets or replacements for this on any parts...
