Hello. I'm from Ontario Canada & own a 9-5. I am having the engine torn down & rebuilt. I'm having trouble finding torque specs for the different engine bolts that need to be torqued during re-assembly. There are many manuals available for the 2.3t engines but I can't find one for my B308E...

My skylight has been leaking a bit. Yesterday, after heavy rain, the doors locks wouldn't open with key's unlock button. Last night, the dash lights were acting strange (on and off like never before). This morning the car won't start. Starter is turning great and battery is like new. Just no...

H I, I need to replace my flex pipe located before the cat. My mechanic can weld a new flex pipe where old rusted one is now. Does anyone know the diameter of the pipe before and after the flex pipe. ID and OD would help me select the correct size replacement flex pipe section for 3.0L V-6...

Hello I've a 2001 3.0l auto griffin 9-5 estate. It started with just the reversing light and parking assist playing up, but now a whole load of other electrics don't work, but only for 5-10 minutes after the car is started. Also it seems to be worse on cold days. So seems to be temperature...

Hello, Has anyone converted a 1996 GM 900 2.5L V6 to a 9000 series 3.0LV6. Whats up with the GM900 2.5L V6 I have now heard of several of this model engine running its bearings and also Opel Vectra 2.5V6 with the same problems. Very strange to have this type of fault on a modern engine? Im...

I am looking to buy a diesel 9-5 estate and was wondering which would be the best choice. The 3.0L is a 2001 vector in silver with 64000 on the clock and the 2.2L is a 2001 linear in red with 68000. Both of these cars are from garages the silver one being £7995 and the red one is £8995. Cheers...

Breaks my heart but I'm afraid she's got to go. It's not fair to leave her sitting there. The Rangie is bleeding my spare cash, I just don't have them time to play with her anymore plus the wife has said it's one or the other and I need the Rangie for towing the diving club rib (just too big for...

I have a 1999 Griffin 3.0l V6 and the very last section of exhaust from the tail pipe will need replacing very soon. The problem I have is that normal exhaust centres only stock exhausts for engines up to 2.3l. Can anyone recommend a good exhaust fitter? Saab quoted me £412 to supply and fit...
  12. Classic Saab 9-5 (1997 - 2009)
Hi, Does anyone have an opinion on a 9-5 Griffin 3.0l V6 Turbo? It’s a 1998 model with 95,000 miles. Is this a good car? I understand from reading some of the posts on this and other websites that early 9-5’s had a lot of issues and recalls. What kind of things would have been recalled on this...

Does anyone have details of the correct ride height(s) measurements (I think that is the correct term for the distance from top of wheel arch to centre of wheel) for 9-5 V6 Griffin 2000 model year? Thanks.

Well I've managed to locate a replacement engine with very low mileage (sub 60k) at a very reasonable price so hopefully by mid Feb we should be back in business again. I'm still waiting for Barclaycard to sort out my claim (as of last Friday they hadn't even looked at it )...

After the garage inspected the damage it appears that the bolt holding the jockey wheel to the block has absolutely no thread left on it and there is the remnants of a lot of liquid metal around where it bolts into the engine. Whether someone had just attempted to bond the stripped bolt in place...

The bolt holding the cambelt jockey wheel (the one between the v) decided to come undone this afternoon whilst going up the motorway. Horrible noise and that was it! It's now going to be a matter of deciding whether the guys where I got the engine from or the garage who fitted it are going to...
