hi, as eldest daughter is now learning to drive, the decision to sell the saab has been made :( . we have had it for about 11/2 years and it is a two owner car. 81k miles excellent condition with new battery, discs and pads all round, new clutch, new centre section of exhaust and subframe brace...

Need to get new discs & pads for the front. I've scanned the websites and so on but am unsure what to source and who to have fit them. Is this a safe DIY job? Local garage wants about £130+vat including UNIPART disc/pads. Are unipart ok to use? I've turned up the saab ones pretty cheap...

Just considering buying a 1998 from alocalk non-Saab dealer. Car has done 59,000 niles so will need the big service at 66,000. The local dealer is willing to do a mini service before releasing the car but I reckon I will still have to stump up for the £500 job at Saab soon. Does everyone agree...
