I recently changed my starter motor and alternator, and again my battery just refused to turn the car over after a 1.5hour drive at highway speeds.
I just finished a parasitic battery drain test by connecting my multimeter to the negative terminal at the battery and the negative...

I'm about to replace the gearbox mount bushing but I didn't manage to press the bushing out of the mounting in the end plate.I tried this with the end plate not removed from the gearbox. I thought that a workshop could do it but I got to know that it would cost a smaller fortune(US$ 305)...
Looking at purchasing my first saab and have been speaking to a lady about purchasing hers second hand.
She tells me its a 1988 Saab 9000 Carlsson and I have been researching these models all over the internet, and I was hoping without a VIN number you guys could help me identify this...
I am the proud owner of a Saab 900 Jubilee Edition from 1988. I've had it for 8 years, but sadly the time has come to move on, courtesy of a holed exhaust and now a broken windscreen. Problem is, I don't want to break it and my finances aren't really in a position to repair it, plus...

Its seems my 1988 8v turbo has shimmed tappets opposed to hydraulic units.
the car has been stood for over a year, and is very tappety. Only seems like one or two noisey. Oil and filter changed and has been left to idle for 20mins, twice. Cant give it a run due to no TAX nor MOT.
Sorry for such a [probably] basic question, but I thought someone out there might easily answer:
Will a muffler from a 1990 900 Turbo fit/work as a replacement for the missing rear muffler on my 1988 9000 Turbo?
I am selling my wife's 1988 900 convertible T16, a few months ago I ordered a new Volvo for my wife and under the scrapage scheme I agreed to put the Saab in for scrappage, however as the deleivery date for the Volvo gets nearer I find I can't do this as the car is far too good to be scrapped...

I recently purchased a 1988 Saab convertable 5-speed turbo, and was told it was a "Springtime in Sweden" edition. I cannot find anywhere on the car that would justify that, and am really curious on what to look for in a "SIS" edition.
How can I tell if it is a Springtime in Sweden edition...
1988 Saab 9000 Turbo 16 2ltr. Only 114,000 miles. Old MOTs and invoices to verify. Owned since 2004 as a third car. Unfortunately a company car has meant that this is one too many and is rarely used.

Hi, have just purchased (at a very good price) an Aussie delivered 1988 C900 Aero. Otherwise known as the SPG in USA. It has the B202L 16V turbo engine with the Garrett turbo (unsure which model). It is a 5 speed manual and has full service history with 200,000km (120,000 miles) on the clock...
