    hi-fi replacement

    will a clarion radio+ cassette head unit and cd autochanger from a 1997 9000 replace my saab r/c and cd in my 1991 9000 without any mods ie new plugs and leads to it are they both the same connectors. the clarion has a c-bus loom what ever this is.

    Don't know, but it isn't usually that expensive to get a shop to fit one, especially if they supply it.

    the clarion was a factory fit unit.

    IIRC the radios fitted to the 91 didn't have ISO connectors.. My old H reg had had its wiring loom chopped up to take a philips. Most units nowadays some with ISO connectors and the later 9000s have ISO connectors. Luckily you can get adaptors to convert from the large square plugs in the 91 wiring loom to the modern ISO connectors.

    My 1991 classic 900 did have ISO connectors, whereas my 1987 classic 900 did not. Not that this really helps a 9000 owner too much
