Help needed any ideas

    Help needed any ideas

    Thanks all in advance jusr got a 2004 93 aero has the old style dash simple question is there anything you can do to get satnav and Bluetooth in the car I have spoken to a couple of audio dealers who said nope can’t do it. Has anyone tried the rear view mirror option can I take my old system out and install the old style Saab satnav in the hole any advice help greatly received the pic is my dash the small pic is the satnav unit.

    Not full bluetooth,bluetooth was only to transfer contacts from phone to saabs built in phone.. it can be done but you need all the fibre optic cables that connect the dvd etc to the front..
    My 9-3 audio,2 x cd changers,aux-in & Bluetooth audio streaming..

    Buy cheap pay twice..

    What's your end goal..
    My 9-3 audio,2 x cd changers,aux-in & Bluetooth audio streaming..

    Buy cheap pay twice..

    If you just want hands free telephone then I'm sure you may have a wiring block behind the N/S transmission tunnel trim then you can buy a connector wiring harness and a parrot hands free kit .

    i did it on my 9-3 but it's a facelift model worked wonders
    lookig at your photo it looks like you have a phone cradle there ,was that there when you brought the car ?

    Yes phone cradle was there when I got car and it’s for an older phone not sure about parrot will have to see but would love to keep it looking factory fitted

    My end goal would be to try and get satnav and Bluetooth and try and keep car looking factory and not butchering the dash

    no point with bt unless you've got the sim card reader in the boot ergo saab phone installed..you can replace the icm2 control panel with the icm3 but will need tech2..

    Thanks aerojon I’ll look into that my first Saab had sat nav and like you said phone was a separate card in the boot not Bluetooth if I can get the sat nav done I’ll get a parrot fitted somewhere out of sight again thanks for advice and help any other options please keep them coming.
