radio install using existing saab amp

I have a 2001 93 and I want to install an aftermarket head unit, but I want use the existing Saab amp to drive the front door speakers.
As I understand the amp gets its signal via a connection from the factory radio.
The new headunit has a plug to connect an amp, can I connect that to the existing amp.
What I would like to end up with is the new radio driving the front & rear speakers and the existing amp driving the front door speakers, as per factory set up.

    Any suggestions please

Hello oldjocktom, if the lead on the new head unit is a single wire possibly marked as " amp " then yes you just connect to that as that is the power feed to the amp , so all will be as before once fitted .
    Hope that helps. .
