    B201 spark plug thread issue

    Saab 900 8v N/A B201

    Please share your opinions.

I can only screw spark plug to cylinder 4 by approximately 2/3 of the spark's thread by applying 26 Nm.

Shell I increase torque and try to screw it in all the way or shell I just repair the thread?

    Thank you.

OK. Cleaned spark plug thread with Dremel applying WD40. Then run engine on 3 spark plugs and 3 injectors. Got some crap out of cylinder through spark plug hole. Applied WD40 on a new plug and tighten it gradually increasing torque to 40 Nm regularly checking with my finger how much more it can go. Removed the plug and checked crash ring on the spark plug just touched the engine head. Put the plug back with 40 Nm torque.
