Thread: Maptun Pricing-Stage 1

  1. #1
Is it me or have the Stage 1 (250bhp) 93ss re-maps jumped in price?

I checked last week and it was about £580 inc VAT and now they're £633 + VAT?!

They did a promo last year at just over £400 inc VAT which is a bit of a steal really based on the above but unfortunately I was too late when I found out!
I wonder if Saabscene mods could negotiate an offer on our behalf as other forums have done in the past-and if so anyone interested?!

Maptun looks like the way forward for me after reading all the mixed tuning reviews on here...

The price increase maybe is due to the exchange rate of the Swedish Krona (SEK), which is very strong lately.

The price you have seen I presume is from www.maptun.com site, this is Sweden's main site and the price is a conversion from their retail price including the higher VAT rate too. The poor exchange rate then converts the price to £ sterling.

The UK site www.maptun.net, managed by Neo Brothers, has the correct UK prices for Maptun products.

The stage 1 for a Saab 9-3 SS B207R model, supplied with the Maptuner tuning device, is actually £470 plus VAT (£564).

We are the UK main agent for Maptun and there are selected Saab specialists around the UK who also can provide Maptun products. All details can be found on www.maptun.net.

Hope this has cleared things up.[/b]
Great, Thanks Neo Brothers! This explains a lot!!!
I live 10 mins from APL nr Preston (not been in to see them yet) so no probs but also work down in St Albans so not far from yourselves either....

Do you think we might be able to get a discount if a few interested could club together? £450-£470 inc VAT would be a cracking deal as I missed out on the offer end of last year as I only just bought the car and it was all new to me....now I'm looking for some more power!

If there was a 'group buy' for extra discount I could be very tempted.

id deffo be up for a maptun if we could get price down a little, for my 93ss aero facelift machine!

  7. #6
I'd deffo be up for a group buy.

If could knock £100 it would be a no-brainer

It's for this exact reason i've set myself up using t5suite cost £70 for the bits to do it including a spare ecu

and you can do tuning wizard maps for your own car simply put in what hardware you have and a boost level you want and hey presto

because £400 is alot of money every time you wish to go up a level of tuning

there is also now t8 suite which i believe karl AKA saabnoob is getting into he's on UKSaabs

I've got a quote off AmD too which is more cost effective sub £400 and essentially a full day of testing too...
