Am going to be out of the country for at least six months and was wondering what to do to the car [Hirsch Aero]
Will be stored on my drive.
Disconnect battery? [this will void the insurance?? as no alarm]
Full fuel tank to prevent condensation.
Wonder if I can get cheaper insurance as will not be used on the road.

    Any ideas/comments gratefully recieved.

    Cheers

    Mike

Jack it up, remove the wheels and leave it on axle stands/bricks...........Or, get someone to move it every week or so.......not to mention the possible problems with the alarm batteries.............

    Check!

    But good advice.

In your shoes I'd definitely look for someone trusted to take it, perhaps once a fortnight, certainly once a month. I remember HonestJohn replying to this sort of query in the Telegraph a while ago, and recommending a minimum run of 20 miles each time.

Do an oil change, if it hasn't been done recently.

Found a good insurance quote with Hagerty Classic Car insurers - £78 for the year [under cover locked]

Now to find someone close to home [Derby] who will not rob me blind for the storage!

    Cheers

    Mike
