Re: Going back to Saab (thank God!)

I'm sure it has been done, but I don't know of any examples myself. It's particularly thirsty cars for which it makes economical sence to get converted, which the 2.0T isn't, hence why it's probably...

Re: First time Saab owner here!

There's a pedal on the right side of the footwell - it makes the car go faster, the one to the left of it makes it go slower. There might be a third pedal, but we'll cover that bit tomorrow - learn...

    Re: Servicing oil advice !

Look at the list of "sticky" threads in the 9-3 SS section and find the one entitled How To's, you'll find all the information you need in the one about changing the oil in the B207 engine.

    Re: engine upgrade advice 2.0T - 2.3T

The SS section is for convertible models as well, but the newer shape one (2003-11); if yours is an '02 model then it's the previous generation version.

Go for it - the 2.0T is a great engine.

Re: What would you do ?

I would do it myself just for the satisfaction. You shouldn't need an impact wrench, just apply liberal amounts of WD40 a day or so earlier and the bolts should come undone.

    Re: New 9-3 Aero 2.8 V6 Owner

You'll have to return your pads and disks to Neo Brothers, as the bigger size you mention are 345mm in diameter and corresponding pads.

    Re: engine upgrade advice 2.0T - 2.3T

Hi, which year is your car? You've posted in the 9-3SS section, but it doesn't sound like you have the SS model.

Re: Looking to buy a pre-face 1.9 TID

A V6 petrol will be thirstier than the 2.0t and more expensive to service and maintain.
  11. Re: Do people rally fall for this stuff? found it in my spam folder just now...

Don't knock it until you've tried it - I made 3.3M by helping the Crown Prince of Zamumba smuggle money out of his country following a coup. I'll do it again once this money runs out... ...

Re: Looking to buy a pre-face 1.9 TID

I would say yes, it will, and if your commute is that short (lucky ******) then consider buying a petrol version of the 9-3 instead - the extra cost of fuel on your once weekly trip to see your...

    Re: New 9-3 Aero 2.8 V6 Owner

Regarding whether the car has HID headlights or not, it's easy to tell. Have someone turn them on whilst you look at the headlights, and HIDs will immediately flash once, then go dim, and then slowly...

Re: Internal Less Tech Bulbs ?

Exactly the point I was going to make. I'm currently replacing the SMDs in my Signum, taking out the white or amber ones and replacing them with blue ones. They're only 2mm x 3mm in size, so I'm...

As I don't have a Saab can someone advise whether the switches and instruments on the 9-3 are illuminated with LEDs (SMDs perhaps?) or bulbs?
