    30k isn't ideal, but it is in a fairly short space of time and the Edge 0w-30 is suitable for longlife use, so I don't think it's going to have caused any real issues.

    Half a litre per 4k is completely fine (more than a litre per 1000 miles is an issue, up to that any manufacturer will consider it okay), so there is no problem in sticking with a 5w-30...

    There may be a few deals around on Mobil due to the new API SM spec which is in the pipeline (already available in the US).

    That would be GTX 10w-40 and it's a mineral oil.

    I would at least treat it to a semi-synthetic or preferably a fully synthetic.

    and 5w-40 fully synthetic is the quality option.
