  1. Re: 2003-2008 Saab 9-3 4dr (conv same?) rear bumper

OK so US based but this site says saloon and convertable are different part numbers:

    4 door-12769712, 12798001
    Conv - 32016142

I would have expected the same part number if they're...

    Re: Fuel Consumption test

That's pretty good. I tend to get 40ish mpg from my manual 2.0T Aero but my average motorway speed is probably a little higher.

I keep thinking I should get my car re-mapped. What one do you have?

Re: No power at my radio

You might be able to read the codes yourself with a cheap OBD2 code reader. Would be a good starting point.

Something like this or this and a phone app (other OBD2 code readers are available :))

    Re: Navagion Disk

Sat Nav is nothing special but it works. I've got a 2010 disk in my 9-3 (UK). OK, it doesn't go postcode lookup but it generally gets me there and home :)

As to the Op's question, the sat nav's...

    Re: 9-3 -2.8 V6 Turbo X Reviews

Complete waste of money imho. It's just a standard Aero with a thirsty v6, heavy 4 wheel drive system and fancy wheels with overpriced tyres. The 2.0T isn't much slower and the standard 2.8 manual...
  10. Re: What Interior / Rear Number Plate Bulbs, Do You Have?

I've not found a dimmable W5W or T4W LED bulb. If you have can you post a link please :)
  11. Re: What Interior / Rear Number Plate Bulbs, Do You Have?

I've got LED interior lights. They don't flicker or strobe however they don't dim to off either (slight fading, then off).

Also had a old school number plate bulb fail recently. It didn't throw a...

    Squeaky Steering Column

My steering column squeaks when I turn the wheel. High pitched and increasingly irritating. It might be psychosomatic but the steering also seems to be getting harder to turn (makes note to go and...

    Re: spark plugs

So both Neo Brothers (and Parts for Saab fwiw) are selling the wrong plug even though it's a genuine Saab item and matches the part no. in EPC

    Re: spark plugs

NGK PFR6D-10G is actually the correct plug. It is a Saab special fitment (I think). The ground electrode has a rounded tip. The PFR6T-10G is the square tip equivalent.

    Amusingly the correct plug...

    Re: Road tax

I've just re-read my post from yesterday and I was clearly talking out of my ar$e . All 2.0T petrol Aero's are sub 226g/km CO2 so all should be 285 at most. It's only the 2.8 that is greater...

Firstly, I wouldn't you in there all guns blazing quoting the Sale of Goods Act and the like. Try to reach an amicable solution with the dealer. Decide beforehand what you want and firmly but...

Are you sure the indicator was reset after the...
  19. Re: 9-3 Covertible - No Power to High Level Brake Light

It won't have a separate fuse. It'll be spurred in the loom going to the rear brake lights.

First off I'd power the HL brake light in situ from a known good 12v source (positive only). If it fails...

Nothing to do with weight. They're both circa 213g/km CO2. Manual will have been registered before 23rd March 06, auto after.

Depends how you're washing it. Bucket and sponge probably OK but I wouldn't fancy taking it through a car wash or a getting a power wash pointed at it :)

Hi and welcome to SS. You won't be disappointed with a 9-3 convertible. It'll be excellent for the one day a year the sun shines in the Borders :D
