    Re: 2005 95 2.2 tid

    Black smoke?
Exhaust gas by the turbo area?

You're got a boost leak. Check the 2 short rubber hoses going into and out from the turbo. Possibly also remove the metal pipe on top of the engine,...

Re: SAI. Secondary Air Injection Pump.

Officially, You need to replace the 1-way valve that has failed and then replace the pump that failed due to the valve failing.

Re: Flat Battery and Locked Out

I`m not sure the lights trick will work since the bulbs are surely on the other side of a relay as the battery and therefore the rest of the electronics.

The Merc might have had it's lights on the...

    Re: Oil Pressure Sender

Also, I would have thought that if the light only come on when hot, then there is enough pressure when cold so there's probably nothing wrong with the pickup or O ring.

    Re: Oil Pressure Sender

It was my understanding that they fail to report low oil pressure and/or leak but it's not impossible for one to trigger the warning before it's actually low.

    They're only 4 I believe, so it's...

    Re: Crankshaft aperture disc

As far as I know, most modern cars have them. It's used by the Crankshaft Position sensor (CPS) to tell when Cyl 1 is ready to fire.

It's needed because you don't have a distributor anymore in...

    Re: NikosTsiatsios

I had that once, the blend arms had become disconnected from the motors. No error codes generated after numerous self-tests.

    It's worth a look.

Re: 2.0t P0107 and no powa

At First, I was going to quote the EPC and show how wrong you are, jon! but then I looked a little closer...

The EPC does indeed list part 15 as a Throttle Position Sensor as per the image...

Re: 2.0t P0107 and no powa

According to the EPC, Part 15 is the Throttle Position Sensor. I don't really know this engine well, so I can only go on what the programs are telling me.

Re: 2.0t P0107 and no powa

    WIS Reports P0107 as:-

Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Circuit. Open / Short to Ground.

It's probably a good idea to check that it's actually plugged in, given that the clutch has been...

Re: Dash Cam - hard wiring

I`ve been thinking of doing exactly this. There's 12v up there that's only live with the ignition, I`m not sure if there's much space for the DC-DC adapter but given that that's where the camera is...

    Re: Throttle body butterfly postion

As I understand it (and I`m probably completely wrong!), the throttle butterfly in a diesel is only used under very specific circumstances.

My 2.2TiD doesn't even have one!
