Harqma, I had water in my engine. It kept driving, but was a total pig. They found most of it in the fuel tank. Anyway, it made its way into the engine and the car was awful. (If you do a search...

I have used Toyos (previously had Contis) and they had a good wear rate for me. As Fliptop says the 3.0Tid is a tyre muncher and the Toyos faired better than the Contis.

Well, around town 36-ish, on a run I could squeeze 50-52mpg. But then I'd be bored. Usual M'way consumption with my not so relaxed right foot is in around 44-46mpg. Yep, like Commical E I've the...

    Re: 3.0tid a positive experience

    Kris

I had the same thing, so I simply turned the fan up to full boost for a few minutes and it seemed to blow it through. HTH.

    Re: 3.0tid a positive experience

    Comical,

Your points are mirrored by me. I really like my car and will probalbly keep it now until it falls apart (how long will that be). I like the motorway ride and the seats are extremely...
  7. Re: 3.0TiD Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve

    Alan

Had my ERG valve replaced just before its third birthday. Same problem, the light came on, diagnostics found it to be the valve and Saab did the rest.

    Happy Christmas!

    Re: Aero or 3.0 TiD?

    3.0 TiD...

Personal choice, but I am a wood burner driver through and through. Also the estate is much more versatile. You can hide stuff under the solid cover, or even under the false floor,...
  9. Re: 3.0 TID purchase, have I made a big mistake????

Myself, BigJJ and Fliptop had/have one of these. Mine was a bit of a pig, but I got rid of it before all the upgrades were complete. Fliptop's threads will give you a fuller picture. Big JJ's also...

Re: 3.0 TID - How many miles

Bought my last one Sept 02 as five month old car (April 02), got rid Sept 03 with about 18000 and replaced it with Sept 03 car. Now got 30000 on clock.

Just changed mass airflow meter and...

Just looking at your posting, won't the 'firm' sort out a motor for you!?
  12. Re: What is it about me and 3.0 V6 TiDs????

Silversam, glad to hear the fault was spotted. You know, there are rougue cars. My previous 3.0TiD was a pig. Everything went wrong with it and the programming never worked. I was so glad to get...

Re: Rear tyre wear on the 9-5

Interesting ideas. But the throbbing I got was from the tyres wearing unevenly around the whole of the tyre, like an old threepenny bit. This was not caused by flat spotting, but by something to do...

    Re: France again

Sorry to hear about your theft. Really bad news. Yep, I've had mine set to lock automatically too. By the way. If you do take your car over often, it is worth considering having it serviced...

    Re: three child seats

Yep, I agree. I've got two full seats for the 11 month old and the just three year old. Again Granny can fit in the middle just fine. And as I know she will never read this site I can mention that...
  17. Re: Have Saab changed their used car policy?

    Woofage

Sell you car back to them. Then buy it again with their extended warranty. It will probably work out cheaper than buying a Warranty Direct policy (spread over the six years)!

Re: DVLA on line vehicle relicensing.

Of course now the databases are all linked up, if a car is stopped by the plod and no insurance/MOT/DL comes up, the car gets taken and crushed. Sounds good to me. Of course if they can come up...

    Re: TiD 3.0 manual mpg

I'm doing some very short journeys at the moment and SID is saying 36mpg. It is reasonably accurate as well.

Re: What power output is a 3.0 diesel?

Had both an Arc and a Vector sports. I liked the full leather seats on the Arc, but the set up on the VS is way better. I love my 3.o TiD. Go get one today!

Re: re: stolen black Carlsson Brighton

Actually it's the towing company that charge you. They all put bids in to win the contract from the local police authority. The best bids win and are used on a rota basis. Anyway, your right it is...

    Re: Road Noise on Michelins

I noticed the high level of noise from my Continentals as well. I've now got some Kumo tyres. Not that well known, but better wearing, quieter and good grip qualities. Incidentally they were 35...
