Re: Wiper Blades for My Saab 9-3

It seems an opportunity to change to the Flat blade wipers.

My theory is that most of them , Bosch included, are all made at the same type of factory, so don't waste money on expensive branded...
  2. Going to the last post in a thread.............

I have "new posts" as a favourite website, and once on it, like to go to the last post. I have this for the various car sites I frequent.

BUT, on this site, if the username of the last member to...

    Re: HID upgrade

Couldn't agree more! My vert is the first car I've had with these fitted, and IMHO they look and perform so well.

    Re: HID upgrade

I think the giveaway will be that factory fit have to have headlamp washers, and no manual up/down adjustment from the dashboard.

Re: Can an Iphone be connected to the hands free?

If it used the old Nokia 6310, or a phone with the same connections, there is an adaptor which sits in the cradle and receives Bluetooth. This is what I bought to use in my last car which had a Cark...

Re: Saab Led lights for 9.3

Just follow the handbook, Mark, but 2 points, pull the wires, don't tug them. I also found it easier to fiddle them in and out once I'd removed the main beam bulbs. Took less than 15 mins for the...

Re: Saab Led lights for 9.3

They don't help driving visibility, they're only, in Saabspeak, 'position lights', but they're much whiter (personally I don't like the blue ones) than the OE ones, in fact they're whiter than the...

Sticky: Poll: Re: What have you had to replace?

    1.9 150 Diesel:

    Alternator
    EGR valve x 2
Timing belt (at due date, so precautionary)
Water pump (while timing belt was done)
    flexy exhaust section
    Inlet manifold

    Still to do - Aircon...

Re: Saab Led lights for 9.3

Mark, just checked as much as I could in the dark, and mine flash without the lights on.

BUT! As I said in my first post, they flash for a minute or so each time I use the remote, so it could be...

Re: Saab Led lights for 9.3

Replacing them is quite easy, once you get over breaking the normal rule that you shouldn't pull on wiring to remove the units.

Apparently the sidelight wires are reinforced, and pulling the...

This (hopefully) is the link to what I bought last week, I can't recall what I had previously (which didn't last more than a few months, but had the same symptoms).

Re: Saab Led lights for 9.3

I bought "none-error" ones for my '06 reg 9-3 vert, and they flash for a while when I use the remote to lock/unlock the car, but stop after a minute or so.

Doesn't worry me TBH, I look upon it...

    Re: Regen

I was told by main dealer that mine was 83%, and they would regen it when they replaced the manifold on my 150 TiD 9-3, the quote was 914 plus vat.

So I bought a manifold online, got my local...

    Re: Best replacement wiper blades?

eBay special flat blades, around eight quid a pair, so not the cheapest, but not ripoff Bosch prices either.

Wouldn't go back to conventional blades again.

    Sorry, I misunderstood.

Just checked on my 06 vert, and the plate (more of a sticker, I think?) as in your pic is just below the door striker on the B pillar, driver's side door shut. Opened...

    Re: 93 1.9 tid 06 reg

Just been through the same problem, one of the flaps was stuck opposite to the other 3. The symptoms were that it was a bit lumpy on tickover when cold, but it kept going into limp home mode. In the...

    Re: Sports Chassis?

Quite a while since I bought a car, but wouldn't it appear on the bit of the V5 that the seller has to give to you?

Edit: just checked my car's V5, and it appears not, but it is on the V5 when you...

I think it must be with my computers - as it's now OK on my work and home laptops, just not on my iPhone and iPad, I'm happy with that.

    Thanks for the help

I'm going to try this on Mrs Baxlin's Clio, but would Megs' ScratchX, or even good old T-Cut, both of which I have "in stock" work instead of buying PlastX?
