    Re: boot wont unlock

You will very likely have broken wires in the conduit that runs on the left side of the boot.
It stresses and flexes when you open close the boot and wires are a bit short.
If you open the boot you...

    Re: saab 93 yr2001 auto

Well you need the fault codes to start troubleshooting........car probably in limp mode.
    Often the solenoids start sticking.
"on for a while" with the fault has probably made things worse and
    has...

    Re: Taking off rear axle

Much easier with suitable puller tool.......done the job myself on an Astra which is similar and its very hard to get the bush in without one...doesnt matter if you destroy the old one getting it...

  7. Re: Codes P0646, P1682, P0691, P0693, P0686, P0687

As you have likely found out the full set of misfire codes is a symptom of a bad ECU.
    Are the coils genuine?
The first two P0646 and P1682 indicate an aircon problem which is probably a seperate...
  8. Re: Car looks like its on fire after speedy left handers

Thats part of the crankcase ventilation system (feeds into a catch can at the back of the engine block).

    Re: New member checking in

Ask what work has been done...at that mileage apart from suspension components and brakes virtually all the major stuff may have been replaced.
If its been well maintained I wouldnt worry too much...

    Re: Dead Turbo?

You dont tell us which car/engine combo but its likely the turbine shaft is moving around a bit and you can hear it whining under load/boost.
Disconnect the pipe running to the intake throttle body...
  12. Re: 2008 93 1.8T Linear Auto Petrol heavier steering than Diesel

Its true the diesels have EHPS but I am suprised there would be a noticeable difference versus mechanical pump.
We have 5 Saabs in the family a mix of 9-3's and 9-5's and frankly I have never...
  13. Re: 1998 9-5 Engine starts revs to 3000 rpm and the stalls

The tic tic tic is the throttle body going into limp mode....and putting the engine in the same state.
Disconnect your battery to clear the code otherwise...tic tic tic straight away
    Then reset the...

    Re: 1999 9-3 Faulty 3rd Injector

Have you probed the wiring back from the connector to establish a break or corrosion (high resistance) problem.
I usually do this type of thing sticking a tiny pin in the wire at various points back...

  17. Re: temp gauge behaviour after thermostat replacement

Opcom is useful but only for the Z19 engines I doubt if you can make those changes........you can code injectors and force regens and get all the engine read backs
So useful for those things alone....

    Re: saab 93 indicator switch

pm me if you want further details...you will need Tech2 as you will almost certainly trigger fault codes when working with the CIM unless you are very lucky and get everything aligned on the first...

    Re: saab 93 indicator switch

Switch resides inside CIM unit...airbag has to be removed...there is a chap in Ballygowan who should be able to help you.

If you are handy the switch pack can be removed and rebuilt otherwise you...

    Re: 2009 TTiD 1/2 Boost - Help!

Logically the swirl flaps are the wrong side of the engine to go anywhere near the turbo...they would have to go through the cylinders first and cause all kinds of mayhem.
    Although I do agree there...

    Re: 2009 TTiD 1/2 Boost - Help!

If the pipe is collapsing then that probably means the actuator or VNT in the turbo is stuck.
You really need to get at the actuator rod and see if you can physically move it back and forth...should...

    Re: 2009 TTiD 1/2 Boost - Help!

Remap should sort but really depends on the current state of the inlet manifold and DPF.
Any remap should take care of further swirl flap and EGR issues and prolong the life of the DPF.
    Its your...

    Re: 2009 TTiD 1/2 Boost - Help!

Troubles are probably DPF related ie too high a back pressure and probably blocked.
I would get access to a Tech2 or Opcom and force a regen you also have other leak issues.
    If you run these cars...
  25. Re: z19dt 8v 120bhp LIMITED PERFORMANCE

If you are getting a limited performance message and limp mode then there will be code.
Cheap option is Opcom which has a good chance of finding the problem or a Tech2 to be sure.
