    Re: 9-7X coming to Europe??

That probably means you won't get it.

The 9-7x is built on the GMC Envoy platform. I'm not sure if you guys are getting the Isuzu Ascender or even if Opel has a clone of the Envoy, but this SUV...

Re: Help design a SAAB, Clay! (56k may be slow)

Personally, I'd like to see two more Saab concepts:

    1- A car-based SUV based upon the upcoming 9-5 (or the current 9-3). Ditch the 9-7x. It's so un-Saab!...

    Saab's two "new" models stateside

The Saab 9-2 is planned for its introduction this summer. It's made in Japan by Subaru. It will no doubt be fitted with Subaru gear with only the nosepiece and the badge differentiating it from an...

Saab 9-7x at NY Auto show

Saab plans to show its first SUV, the 9-7x, at the New York Auto Show this April.

This will also be the first Saab to be built here in the states, since it's based on the GM platform used for the...

    Re: Tyres for 9-5

The P6000's on my wife's Saab 9-3 wore rather quickly.

Jury's still out on the P6. The P6 is a bit noisy.

Sticky: Re: 9-3 Sport Saloon/sedan Reliability

My friend's 9-3 Linear Premium had a number of computer glitches that caused warning lights to go on. The Saab dealer fixed them under warranty.

Consumer Reports survey shows the overall...

    Re: Tyres for 9-5

My 9-5's came with Pirelli P6 all-weather tires. They are just fine in the snow.

As a replacement tire, I think both Michelin MXV4 and Pirelli P6 are fine, but the P6's are somewhat cheaper.

    Re: Snow embarrassment!

If your Aeros are anything like what we have here stateside, the tires aren't suitable for winter driving. They put these W or Z-rated ultra-performance wheels on our cars, and they simply suck in...
  11. Re: Has your DI failed? Or is it still going strong?

The DI cassette in my '97 9000 failed at about 73,000 miles. It cost $500US to replace.

If the DI cassette in my 9-5 fails prior to 50K miles, Saab eats that.

Re: 9-5 owners experience of old 9000s!!!!

Plenty, if you drive around Italy.

There are still some Alfa 164's out here in Connecticut that are in fine shape.

Re: 9-5 owners experience of old 9000s!!!!

Stateside, the Saabs sold here are a little different.

My 1997 Saab 9000 was designated CS, that is, with the low-pressure turbo engine. Much as I liked this car, it was rather troublesome. At...

Re: Which 9-5? Please help again!

Too bad you don't live in the States.

Do you guys have the Saab pre-owned plan? A good bet stateside is the 2000-2001 Saab 9-5 base 2.3t (170 hp).
Here an "estate" is called "sportwagon". ...
