  1. Re: [For Sale] Saab 9-3 Wind Deflector - Norwich Norfolk NR9

    Hi,

Apologies for the delay, been away on vacation.

Yes it is still for sale. It will fit the 2008 9-3 Linear TID, I had it fitted to my 2008 9-3 Vector Sport TID.

    regards,

  2. [For Sale] Saab 9-3 Wind Deflector - Norwich Norfolk NR9

Wind Deflector for the GM era 9-3 Saab.

I no longer have my 9-3  Found this made a real difference, especially when cruising. OEM part complete with protective bag. In good condition with...

    Re: valuation

Unless you are doing a guaranteed pay out policy the value of the car field is pretty meaningless. It is used as a trigger to see if the policy needs referring to the underwriter for quotation....

    Re: TTID 180 bhp

2008 onwards had redesigned swirlflaps. Its not as common an issue as some make out, but always worth checking every so often. Check the connecting bar is in place and operating properly.
  6. Re: Parrot MKi9200 fitted & working in Facelift 9-3 Cabriolet

I'd steer clear of FM transmitters, they can be an absolute pain in the backside. Never seen one be reliable for any length of time, or of satisfactory sound quality.

    Did see one solution which...

    Re: 2007 stereo replacement

All car sounds will work fine. I have replaced my OEM unit with a double DIN Pioneer unit.

Just be warned you will need about 70 worth of facia kit and wiring loom as well as the head unit itself.

    Re: 2007 saab 9-3 1.9 tid advice

Really depends on this weekend driving. If it is not going to get a good 30-40 minutes of solid higher rev (2,000 rpm+) driving every 300-400 miles then a diesel is not the car to choose. You will be...

    Re: New car new questions

5-6 years is the industry recommendation for when tyres should be replaced if not worn out.

Nice car though, wish I could find one in the UK, but decent Convertible Aero's are quite rare here on...
  10. Re: Is there a definitive answer on steering wheel controls?

Got a Pioneer HU on a 2008 9-3 with the volume and skip buttons working. Phone doesn't though. Believe that needs a 2010- car.
  11. Re: How often should I get my 2005 93 aero conv tuned?

By tuned, do you mean serviced (oil change etc)?

If so, every 12k miles or 12 months as a minimum on a 2005 model.
  12. Re: Chrome fog light surrounds (Can you buy them anywhere)

Not sure the Aero surrounds fit an non aero bumper. They may be physically different iirc.

  14. Re: Please recommend a good fault code reader / reset tool

I have both OPCOM and an ELM327 with Torque. Haven't used OPCOM in 2 years now and used torque a few times to sort a couple of minor issues. The codes it gives you and half a brain make it easy...
  15. Re: Please recommend a good fault code reader / reset tool

Cheap ELM327 ODB2 bluetooth dongle and Torque application if you have an Android phone. You will be able to do it for under a fiver that way.

Re: Saab Road tax - How Much !!!!! shocking....

Its hardly a Saab road tax, applies to all makes and in no way goes to the roads. Its just a tax revenue for the government.

    Re: Hello folks!! 9.3

Cambelt is 90k miles or 6 years, but it is highly recommended to do it at a maximum of 75k or 5 years, so if it hasn't been done already then you should negotiate it or make it your first job.

    Re: Rotating tires

You should only rotate tyres when the rears have less tread than the front's, rather than the other way around. You always need the most grip on the rear of the car.

    So typically, this is when...

An 18 month old thread with a user who has not signed on for over a year. You may well not get an answer from the OP.

The Pioneer AVIC-F970BT is not a DAB model. You would need http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/products/25/111/241/AVIC-F970DAB/page.html. Its about the same price on Amazon though.
