    Anyone have a DI/APC manual/reference chart handy?

Ok, so I've got a little black box here that says 'SDI' and has # 7585797.
The strange thing about this (the reprogrammed ECU from Sweedspeed that formerly lived in a race c900, first in conjunction with LH 2.2, then with Haltech aftermarket fuel management) is that it only has a 25 pin connector instead of the 36 I see on every DI or DI/APC wiring scheme and pinout table (including those on Ubipa's LH/DI ECU site). Because it says 'SDI' (Saab Direct Ignition) rather than 'DI' or 'DI/APC' I can only guess it is a very early version. A google search on the Saab part # revealed no hits. I desperately need the pinout table for this thingy - I can't start the wiring harness fabrication without it, and I only have use of the garage for two weeks! :-(
And no, I am not going to 'try and find out' - I just paid 200 euro for the unit!

    Can anyone help?

    TIA,
    Eric

Part 7585797: Saab DI Electronic unit for 9000 1985-1988. Hopefully this will get you started...

    Will this link help?

    The Bosch LH Jetronic 2.2

I don't really know what I've found but there is a reference to a 25 pin layout (LH2.2)

Hmm, 25 pins. That's the same amount of pins on both the 9000 APC-units I have here (a black one and a red one)

Thanks folks -it is indeed a 1988 DI box. DI was separate from APC that year (and not yet available in most markets)...

As per Larry West on Turbo!:

    "Eric,

You are the proud owner of a 1988 Saab DI ECU. Note I said 'DI' not 'DI/APC'...

In 1988, the DI was separate from the APC. APC was still the 'normal' unit.

    The pinout:

pin# ; color of wire; purpose

1; red; Power supply for crank position sensor
    2; green/white; +15 in
3; Blue; ignition pulse (out, I presume)
4; yellow; combusion signal from cyls 1 & 2 (DI cassette)
5; GN/RD; signal from crank position sensor
    6; N/C
7; Red; ground for the pressure sender
8; white; power for pressure sender
    9; black/white; to APC module
10; black; signal from pressure sender
11; orange; trigger for cyl 1 (DI cassette)
12; blue; trigger for cyl 3 (DI cassette)
13; grey; trigger for cyl 4 (DI cassette)
    14; N/C
15; BL/VT; data link (for ISAT)
    16; BR/VT; data link (ISAT)
    17; combustion signal cyls 3 & 4 (DI Cassette)
    18; N/C
    19; Red; +30
    20; Black; Ground
21; black; ground for crank sensor
    22; N/C
    23; GN/RD; check Engine light
    24; N/C
25; green; trigger for cyl 2 (DI cassette)

If you really need the diagram, e-mail me & I'll scan it later & send it."

So Eric, if you get your hands on one of these boxes, plus the harness, is it possible to fit it into effectively any c900 or early 9000?

Re: Anyone have a DI/APC manual/reference chart handy?

With the help of some custom parts by Sweedspeed (bracket for crank position sensor and modified Trionic trigger wheel that fits on the crank pulley) and some elbow grease (it's very tight in there between pulleys and firewall on a c900, as testified by the amount of scratches on my forearms right now ), yes...
