1.8t or 2.0t

For Europeans there is an entry level version available with 150HP named 1.8t. The engine is still 2lt, same as that of the U.S. Linear but the turbo is set to 0.5 bar (175 HP is 0.7 bar, I think).

Has anybody driven the 1.8t? Is there a big difference than the 2.0t.

Is there a way to chip the 1.8t and get, say, 190 HP, spending something like 500e?

Any other differences between the 1.8t and the 2.0t (i.e. brakes, gearing etc.)?

Where can I find tecnical specs for the cars?

I have the 1.8t and i find the power adequate although you do have to rev it a bit more than I am use to to get it moving
I have also heard that there is little difference between the 1.8 and the 2.0
I believe the 1.8t and the 2.0t is identical in every way apart from the mapping in the ecu (and a boost gauge ) but I could be mistaken
I also believe that it would only take a re-map to increase the power ..everything else is the same.
When I get the car serviced (who knows when !!)
i will try the waters to see whether I can blag an upgrade (the saab dealer owes me big time )
I have not heard of a third party offering this (yet !!)
the specs of the suspension is down to the trim level ie arc or vector and not the engine size (aero excepted !!)

Ylee, Abbott are already offering ECU upgrades. They had a 220 BHP version available 2 months before the Aero was launched. Not sure which model this was based on though?

220hp version based upon 2.0t (175hp).. I'm assuming that it will also work on 150hp version too... why shouldn't it?

When I test drove the aero,I did that test with the 6th gear.I got more than 55km/h on 1000rpm.
Not bad e?
But I think that 6th is a gear for the highways and the engine can't go more than 4000-4500rpm with it.(overdrive?not sure if this is the correct word).
Can anybody who has an aero confirm it?I was too excited during the test drive and I could be wrong
