What wheels?
So what do you think, what wheels would fit on the 9-3ss?
I played around a little in Photoshop, fitting a set of American Racing Torq-Thrust D. The idea was a Bullit Saab(!). Like the 2001 Bullit Mustang, but the Swedish way
But since I didn't had photos of a green 9-3ss and my knowledge of Photoshop is limited... So I'm stuck with a Silver 9-3ss so far. Is this to much US style?
Any other ideas?
Cheers,
Stefan

Re: What wheels?
I like it! Especially the red brakes! :-)
Maybe a black one would be a good idea to be photoshop´d?
Greetings,

Re: What wheels?
Great idea......
But a 9-3SS will never be in the same league as a '68 390GT in highland green with Mr. McQueen/Mr. Ekins at the wheel.
Having said that, perhaps, one of the reasons I like my Scarabe Green Aero so much is perhaps it's closeness in colour to highland green...

Re: What wheels?
Looks a bit more "The Fast and the Furious" than "Bullitt", don't you think ?

Re: What wheels?
There are very, very few third party alloys that look any good on a Saab, I reckon. The only ones that do look any good are the Hirsch six spokes, IMO.
Saab have some pretty good five spokes at the moment, alas only 6.5x16"

Re: What wheels?
I will get the new 18" Hirsch Performance Wheels on a black Aero.
We'll see how it looks.........

Ah, but I did say "very, very few" - and I did not say which were no good and I did not single any out. But I am still a BGB

PS Bubbles is now considering your thinly veiled apology...

Re: What wheels?
There're also Saabs own 5-spoke Split 18x7½". Looks kind of ugly on their own, but not that bad on a car. There's a photo in the 9-3ss Accessory Catalog. I tried to put it into the scanner, but it's over two pages so...
Cheers,
Stefan

Re: What wheels?
Ok, used a black one this time (still having problem to make it dark green in Photoshop). Since Speedparts has managed to fit 20" on one of their project cars, I guess that 19" would do as well.
I sure do consider keeping the BBS wheel that I've been using on the 9-5. Looks pretty ok on a 9-3ss as well. Too bad the tyres are a bit expensive, and I need four new ones
Cheers,
Stefan
