Graphite Green Aero ordered today...
Ordered a Graphite Green 9-3ss Aero with Parchment leather sport seats, Bi-xenon headlamps , Saab Infotainment Plus (Prestige 300), CD changer in-dash and "Pilotpaket" (which in Sweden includes ACC, alarm, Auto-dimming mirror, Electrically adjustable driver's seat, Saab park assist, Rain sensor wipers and Handsfree preparation for mobile phone).
Expecting delivery in April (I hope they get it sorted out until then)
Modifications to come: H&R springs (30 mm lower) and BBS Challenge 19" (Graphite Grey or Steel Grey).
Cheers,
Stefan

Re: Graphite Green Aero ordered today...
Looks like you ordered a very nice car
This weekend, I've also ordered a 9-3ss, I've choosen a 2.2 Tid Vector in midnight blue with parchment interior grey leather/beige fabric.
Options include automatic climate control, parking assistance, saab infotainment plus (prestige 300), alarm, exterior mirrors folding in electrically and cd-player in dash. That's it.
I've got to call the dealer next week for a precise delivery date but first guess is end of april. This is because the sat nave won't be ready earlier. Or so I've been told by my dealer.
Anyone else has some experience regarding this.
I hope I didn't went in too fast (annoying first series diseases??) but now was the time to do it. Extra discount!

Oh yeah,
I've also got the Sports suspension.
Soon I'll be able to enjoy the feeling too

The sports suspension is a winner - well worth digging into the options pack for that one.

Re: Graphite Green Aero ordered today...
Doesn't the Aero already come with bi-xenon lights as standard...
am i reading the brochure right
-
Re: Graphite Green Aero ordered today...
For you guys, yes, but not in Sweden Also saw that you got all different colours on the Aero, we don't
And yes Duplo, I also had some doubts about first generation of a new Saab. The record doesn't look to good with 900ng, Viggen and 9-5 in fresh mind. But the alternatives was to expensive and I'm a bit bored of 9-5 (got my third one now) so there wasn't much of a choise.
Cheers,
Stefan

Re: Graphite Green Aero ordered today...
Sports suspension for the Aero does it make the car any lower to the ground. or is it purely for cornering etc..

How can you be on your 3rd one! They have hardly been out 5 years!
What do you do, eat them?

Re: Graphite Green Aero ordered today...
Madcap<< Yes, it makes the car lower, how much depends on the springs. I've seen kits for both 30 mm and for 45 mm with H&R springs. The 30 mm kit will make it approx. 15 mm lower than a standard Aero.
Will also improve road handling although new dampers would be preferred too.
Scaero owner<< Well, I drive approx 2 x 100 km every day to work as a start. In all, I tend to drive 65 000 - 75 000 km every year

Stefan

Re: Graphite Green Aero ordered today...
Hi Guys,
I eat cars too. I change mine about every 12-14 months, so give the guy a break
I've got the Sports Suspension on my 93, and it handles corners like its on rails. Some motorways and poor roads do leave you with a jiggly ride. This was particularly bad for the first 500 miles, but it seems to have settled down now.
At 3 figure speeds (off public roads and away from cameras hehe) it is stunningly stable. I need to take a trip to Germany to really give it a blast!
Regards,
Mike

So? I do 35,000 miles (about 55,000km) a year and have had my CS Aero for 7 years (now 130,000m), and my other main car is a 9000 2.3 carlsson which I've had for nearly 2 years now (161,000m) which replaced a 900 T8 owned for 5 years with 262,000 miles which replaced a 99T which I drove for 4 years (200,000m).
You should get 400,000km out of a new one before you need to change.

Re: Graphite Green Aero ordered today...
Since prices tend to drop whenever the car has passed 100 000 km, I prefer changing it prior to that.
But I guess it's pretty much up each one of us what we choose to spend our money on. I kind of like cars, so that's where I put mine
Cheers,
Stefan

Stafan's Saabs!

Re: Graphite Green Aero ordered today...
Fair enough Stefan, I'm just too tight to buy a new car
I've only bought a couple of expensive ones (one I still have after years).
My main hobby now seems to be buying cheap high performance saabs with 130,000-150,000 miles from people who think they are at the end of there lives for very little and driving them into the ground over the next 100,000 miles.
Your's do look tasty though. I'll take the 3rd one please.

Glad to hear you've both taken the plunge ... I reckon Graphite Green's going to be a winner, too.
Cheers
