Re: FOS
I suspect this is the wrong forum for that sort of discussion, but I will be there - in my 9000 (pathetic attempt to keep things relevant ) tomorrow. If anyone's interested I can write a bit about it here or in the events forum.

My local mechanic is going as he was unable to get any Glastonbury tickets this year.

Have a word with Charlie....oops, sorry, Lord March and persuade him to get Per over with the Pikes Peak Viggen for next year.
See if Per could take Rod Millen's record away....

According to TV today, Nick Heifeld has the goodwood hill climb record at 41secs...?
In a mclaren F1 car, well it's only a mile or so, so it made it to the end

I was actually refering to Rod Millans 'class record' for the hill, not the outright record, which is unlikely to be broken now that they have banned the F1 cars from doing timed runs. Heidfeld's F1 record was actually broken last year by a stonking run by Allan McNish in the F1 Toyota, on his last run up the hill.
This brought a smile to my face when I read this, as I was standing having a long chat with Allan while we watched Heidfeld on the big screen outside Goodwood House, make that record run a few years before. He said just after the time flashed up, that it would take a special run for anyone to ever top that.....so it was in his mind when he decided to 'go for it' last year.....
