Today morning when I sat into my car and turned the key in the SID is appeared: "fill coolant level". I checked it and realised that the container is empty. I filled it up and went to the specialist. He checked everything (water pump hoses etc.) and found everything is OK.
What can cause this.
My warning comes if the coolant drops a few millimeters, cant imagine why yours waited till it was empty unless there was a sudden discharge, but you say the pipe work is ok, all very strange Even if the cap was loose you'd expect an earlier warning
The specialist told me that there is a normal consumption also. Up to now I never filled up the container. And also one thing: yesterday I can drive dead slow during more than 2 hours!
It was terrible. Maybe this also played a role in the decreasing of the level.
I'm also suspected the water pump, however I drove more than 130 km and the coolant level is normal.
I will follow up every day the coolant level and inform you the situation.
Today evening the story continueded with a new chapter!
When I arrived home I stop the engine to open the door of the court. I suddendly relised that steam comes out from under the bonnet. The coolant is boiled. I suggeset that the thermosat is stuck.
Not sure Uci, but, maybe you guys have spotted a new weakness, have a look at this!
Doesnt seem as if the dash temp guage gave a warning either
