96 steering wheel

anyone had any experience of fitting a different steering wheel to a 96? Is the boss an easy fit for aftermarket types or does it ned an adapter?

I've fitted an aftermarket small diameter wooden steering wheel in my 96 as part of a knee saving package. I found this steering wheel in a 95 and it looks ready-made for the 95/96. There's no brand name on it anymore.

So it can be done Remy. Did the new wheel have a new boss on it, is this a standard fitting? How wide is the wheel?

Mountney do a range of steering wheels in a range of sizes, including a 3 spoke wheel similar to the Saab Sport and Rally style. They also also do a boss kit to fit their wheels to a V4.

The wooden steering wheel in my 96 has a diameter of 14" / 35 cm.
