Anniversary leather colours (and Aero leather colours)
I've got an Anniversary with the two tone seats.
One of the colours is "sand", according to Reading Saab. They don't seem to have any information on what the other colour (presumably the inserts) are.
Does anyone know what the other colour is? Gliptone have "sand" in stock - and another called "Arizona Tan". Anyone know what that latter colour is?
I think I've seen pictures of Aero seats with the same two-tone leather? Am I right, or cracking up?
If I am right, anyone know where I might get a set of front seats? (or the whole interior, if I have to).

I think Twostroke had an Anni Sand interior up for grabs on eBay a while ago that never sold- might be worth giving them a bell.

You are right. Even the black aero seats have blacker (if that makes sense) inserts in the form of three strip pieces either side of the seat swab and backrest.

Re: Anniversary leather colours (and Aero leather colours)
The inserts (at least, on my black leather Anniversary) are suede!
It was modelled on the Aero design, and also have the 'aircraft' symbol embossed into the front seat backs (forward facing).
From my perspective, it's a nice feature, and looks OK, except the suede inserts on the lower seats wear out (i.e. smooth black) much faster than standard leather, and then look shabby.

Re: Anniversary leather colours (and Aero leather colours)
Leather upholstery was available in Rocky Black with Suede inlay or Sand Beige with Alpaca (leather?)inlays

Sorry, I wasn't clear. My seats are largely fine (need a bit of recolouring on the driver's seat), but I am possibly interested in replacing them with Aero seats.
Hence I'd like to know if I can get Aero seats that match the colour

Thanks.
Aero or Anniversary? Or both? And is Alpaca a style of leather or a colour?

You can find data on Aero spec and interiors over on saabs.info , although I'm pretty sure that the suede inserts were only available on Carly models, not Aeros

Re: Anniversary leather colours (and Aero leather colours)
I've seen the suede inserts on a CS Carlsson, a CS Turbo S and an early CSE. Never seen them on an Aero. Two-tone leather, but never suede.

Yes, suede on all my Carly's and only ever full leather on Aero's and Anny's sport style seats..
I'm not sure what the insert colour was though.

Ta. Not interested in suede 'cos my Anniversary doesn't have that. Looks like there were 550 sand beige Aeros, so I just need to find one that's being broken...

I have the 1998 9000 brochure open at the Anniversary "The leather upholstery is available in Rocky Black with Suede inlays and in Sand Beige with Alpaca inlays on the side cushions"

Perfect. Thanks. Just need to find a way of getting an Alpaca sample to Gliptone without affecting any visible part of the eeat now ( ordered a sand beige scuff kit yesterday)

Alpaca GP69 is on the colour chart.
These are the guys who supplied the leather to make the seats

Excellent. I'll ask them about touch up products.
Gliptone's was a bit of a disappointment. The colour match was fine, but it was a royal pain to cover a worn patch - "a few coats" turned into a dozen or more! - and it seesm to me it dries into a rubbery coating just like the products they criticise in their literature.
The cleaner and conditioner are good, though.
