Hiya all, I think my Blower motor has gone - DOH! Any ideas before I rip it out and replace it? I think I can source a part from the scrap yard, but are there any fuses etc that I should check first? Heat works, but the blower doesn't... Lights on the ACC panel are on so it isn't that. The clutch mechanism on the comressor works I think (but haven't checked yet) but that wouldn't stop the air coming out.
Any ideas before I attempt the blower motor job AGAIN!
The other thing, is that recently, when idling and having aircon on, it tends to use mroe revs than it should and pulls the needle down. It wasn't doing this much before...
I removed the bulkhead cover, and gave the blower housing a whack - it started working... time for a new motor I think, it was siezed and started really slowly, took about 20 seconds to get up to normal speed. Off down the scrappy for me I think!
Thanks for all ye advice!
Saabs do indeed Ride On... 8)
Found a new Blowermotor and fan assembly at a scrap yard. Saab would charge about £200+, I got it all for £15  (did have to take it out my self though- it helped I'd done it before... :cheesy: )
