    FUEL GAUGE

The fuel gauge on my 1993 9000 cse is reading very high, is there an easy fix for this or does it mean removing the fuel pump.

    Re: FUEL GAUGE

I usually find driving 400 miles does the trick.

    I'll get me coat...

Does it read the same all the time, or does it vary?
If it varies it may be a loose/corroded connection somewhere between the sender and the gauge (probably at the sender or gauge rather than somewhere inbetween). If it's always high then maybe the sender has had it.

There's bound to be someone on here who is more help than me.

    Good luck!

    Re: FUEL GAUGE

I have had a similar problem. Gauge has read full when I know that I have not got that amount of petrol in and also has shown empty. This has caused my computer to give false reading. I found that the sender unit was faulty I took this out and cleaned the rehostat contacts on the unit with a bit of fine emery paper. This cured my problem. Hope this helps
