    Question Door Card Decorative Strips

Does the card need to be removed to get these off?

    Workaround perhaps?

Not only do they have to be removed, but the strip fixings have to be drilled off.
Perhaps they were expecting a series of trim thefts

Round my way , anything that looks like metal even if it's plastic would of been knocked off .
Depends what you are trying to do .
If you are trying to tart up the trims ( mine are silver and want to either put some fake carbon fibre on them , or at least darken them down ) I've got an idear of using some of that stick on " fablon " type stuff , which that well known auction site sells , and stick that over them , and use a craft knife to tidy up the edges . I will proll require quite a big roll due to there banana type shape .
At the moment it's all in my head , but one day it will work itself out and I'll give it a go

I had a go at that starting with the gear selector surround..... It went very badly..... So now I'm painting to match the bodywork
So far so good with that & the glove box trimmy bit

the cheapest way to do it is with a wide roll of electrical tape and a Stanley knife, its a bit pikey but could look ok. I once made some headlight brows for a MK2 cavalier from a strip of 2" white tape
