    9-3 Sportwagon rear indicator failure?

    Morning all
The rear indicator on my TTID has decided to throw a SID error to say there's a problem. It is intermittent as sometimes the error isn't accompanied by any actual physical problem, while other times I do get a few seconds of fast clicking which then returns to normal. I am assuming that it isn't a bulb (as they're LED) so before I go digging to see if I an find anything I thought I'd ask on here for other's experience.
    Thanks
    Mark

Are you sure it isn't the LED bulbs causing the problem? I know my 93 didn't like the LED reverse bulbs I fitted

The LED are standard fitment and as they work most of the time first assumption is it's not them (not sure even if you can change them individually?). Was thinking it could be a connector or wiring issue as the SID is triggered from resistance change in the circuit?

ah ok sorry I didn't realise they were standard fit in the wagon, I thought you had fitted some dodgy Chinese LEDs like I did

Sounds a bit expensive this ........ As modular engineers tend to replace complete assemblys these days ........... As resistors break down they can & do vary thir rate of resistance as the overheat ....... Then shut down to cool thus possibly triggering a bulb fault warning....... You need to have a close shufty & see if everything is nice & tight as wires go
