hello. We have a saab 900s with oil coming out of the bellhousing(clutch) area. We have never worked on this engine and do not even know if the seal can be replaced without pulling the engine.Would it be called rear seal? Is there any other? Is it a difficult job needing special tools? Thanks tcmot
You got to take the gearbox out and while you have done that, you can also change the clutch. But if you never changed those oil seals, you should get some professional help along. In theory one should even use a special tool, although there are ways to press the ring in without them. But thats for experienced people.
